The frame is engraved with loving words about fatherhood, and while battered and stained, you can still see that the picture shows a beaming dad and daughter on a fishing trip together. An image of the frame was posted on Facebook, along with the following text: "Do you recognize the people in this picture? This washed up in the Bay Head/Mantoloking area of New Jersey, one of the communities decimated by Hurricane Sandy. ... we’d like to give a little piece of home back to this person if possible."

The photo, posted by a resident of Bay Head, New Jersey, quickly racked up hundreds of likes and 1,300 shares. Within hours, Aimee Lazewski had seen it. “That’s me and my dad!!!!” she wrote on Facebook. “I’m so happy you found this, thank you!!"

Lazewski's happy story is one of many, as heartwarming efforts continue via Facebook to reunite lost photos with their owners in the wake of Sandy's destruction.

When it comes time for me to sit down and pull together family pictures for the photo book I create every December and I inevitably discover that hardly anything is print-worthy because I've spent the entire year capturing precious memories with a cellphone, my photography regrets will be centered around one name: Instagram.

My name is Linda, and I am an Instagram addict. I love being able to see the moments my friends choose to share from their lives, and I love the incredible ease in which I can share my own. If I am occasionally tempted to over-rely on the plethora of available filters, well, sue me: sometimes a scene just looks better when it's got an X-Pro boost.

After Facebook bought Instagram for a cool billion, people wondered what (potentially unwanted) updates might be in store for our favorite photo-sharing app. Well, the first big change has officially been announced, and it's a doozy -- maybe especially for privacy advocates.

Instagram hasn't been around all that long, but in its two years, it's exploded to become the most popular way that smartphone users are sharing photos. And what are they sharing?

Last week it was pictures from Hurricane Sandy, Instagram's CEO said at a conference. "Sandy was the single largest event captured on Instagram -- and the largest event captured on cellphones ever." Nearly one million photos were uploaded to Instagram with the hashtag #Sandy. And some of them were mine.

As if the dark underbelly of the Internet weren't already sketchy enough, now, if you want to find all the "sexy pics" your friends have on Facebook, there's an app for that.

Badabing! trolls your Facebook friends' pictures looking for skin. That means any pictures you've put of your kids on the beach, or in bathing suits, or in the bath tub, or just riding a bike in shorts and a tank top, are easier to pull out. And easier for pedophiles and other perverts to find. I'm so grossed out.

Photo of Baby Doing a 'Keg Stand' Is No Joke (VIDEO)

Um, have you seen the photo of the baby doing a keg stand that is making its way around the web today? Yes, I'm serious -- there's a photo of a dude holding up a baby who appears to be doing a keg stand at a tailgating party gone wrong outside of an Arizona State University football game.

Apparently a student at the university saw what was happening with the baby and was appalled, and proceeded to take a photo of the incident and upload it to the website TheDirty.com.

And now what may have started out as a seriously inappropriate joke has turned into a full-blown police investigation -- because if by some chance that baby was actually given beer, this is nothing short of child abuse.

Did you know that the comments under your Facebook profile picture say a lot about how the world sees you? That, and the photo itself, show how physically, socially, and professionally attractive we are to other people. You're judged more by that photo and the comments than by anything else on your Facebook page.

Maybe it's time to take down those bathing suit shots? University of Minnesota doctoral student Seoyeon Hong and Professor Kevin Wise say what other people say about you seems to matter more than how you present yourself. When people are checking you out, they want to see what other people think of you, too.

You gotta love parents. Maybe it's all those childbearing hormones, but they sure can get their panties in a twist over the strangest things. Like saying "good girl." Or a baby maybe getting a couple of drops of Mountain Dew. The latest parental outrage -- outrage! -- comes from Kansas. There, a statue of a bare-breasted woman taking a picture of herself has caused the local parent population to draw up a petition with thousands of signatures to get rid of the offending work of art. The problem? Not that you can see the woman's bronzed boobs. But that she's taking a picture of herself. And ... dear God in heaven ... she appears to be taking this picture in order to send it to someone. She's ... auggghhhh ... sexting!

Just when we thought the hype over Prince Harry's nude photos taken in Vegas was finally starting to die down, new reports are coming out saying that those blurry cellphone photos of Harry's stark-white behind (hee hee hee) are only the tip of the iceberg. Yep -- you guessed it. Apparently there may be a video of Prince Harry's naked antics, which makes total sense, because most cellphone cameras also have a video function these days.

If someone were already taking naked photos of Harry, why on earth would they think twice about hitting record and capturing his scandalous behavior on tape? And according to one source, "There have been some very quiet inquiries to see how much the video is worth." (Um, yeah. Of COURSE this person is looking to make a profit if the video actually does exist.)

My Instagram feed is all food, all the time. For some reason (gee, I don't know why ...), everyone I follow is obsessed with photographing their food. Seriously -- it's like ten food photos for every one "cute kid" photo. Not that I mind. Just about everything looks delicious. If only I could actually lick some of those Instagram photos ...

Oh you know what's coming: NOW YOU CAN! Introducing Cocoagraph. You send them a JPEG, they send you little Polaroid-sized chocolate bars with your image printed on them. And yes, of course they'll take your Instagram photos and magically turn them into chocolate bars. Check it out.

First we had planking, then we had owling -- then there was Tim Tebowing, Scarlett Johanssoning, legbombing, and my personal favorite (only because I made my husband try it for humiliating photo purposes), leisure diving.

You'd think we'd all be done with the pose-based photo fads by now, but unfortunately there's a new self-portrait trend taking off on Twitter, and this one's being spearheaded by celebrities.

Unlike some of the legitimately creative photo-fad attempts of the past, "celebrity body surfing" is all about showing off A-lister assets.

No, not their acting abilities. Or, for that matter, their photography skills.
