Even before yesterday's Inauguration Day festivities kicked off, I just knew former President Bill Clinton was bound to make headlines. We should know very well by now that Big Dog can't go anywhere without somehow -- intentionally or inadvertently -- becoming the center of attention. (Anyone remember the DNC?) This time, I'm pretty sure it was completely unintentional. And it happened in the blink of an eye. Yesterday, when Kelly Clarkson took the podium to sing "My Country 'Tis of Thee," ol' Bill stuck his head out from behind someone else in the audience, and in a screen grab of the moment, it looked like a total photobomb! Ha!

After Doug Gordon, who describes himself as a Brooklyn documentary TV producer, noticed the silly moment, he posted the image to Twitter, and of course, it took off like a rocket, getting re-posted on Twitter and Reddit, making way for a bazillion jokes ...

She's a bad mamaFriends, set aside your Hurricane Sandy bunkers for a quick moment and pray that your power stays on long enough to get a look at this. The Internet has outdone itself again, and this time it's ablaze with the most outrageously funny and spot-on memes of all time. That's right! The web has thrown Grease's leading lady Sandra Dee smack dab in the eye of the storm and it is nothing short of hilarious. Gone is the sweet and simple Sandy we used to know, and in her place is a fierce and ferocious tropical storm. It's time to turn our attention away from all the storm preparations and have a much-deserved laugh -- we could all use one. And what the hell, if you've got an arsenal of wine on tap for the storm, might as well start now.

Stay safe, East Coasters, and take a look at what Sandy has in store for us ...

Was it just me, or did it seem like the Obama team had prepared their candidate with some meme-ready zingers? It's one way to get us to pay attention to a ... what was the focus of last night's debate again? Oh yes, foreign policy.

Last night's debate was loaded with gems, but this was the best line of the night, in response to Romney's accusation that the Navy had shrunk since 1916:

Well, governor, we also have fewer horses and bayonets. ... We have these things called aircraft carriers, where planes land on them. We have these ships that go underwater, nuclear submarines. And so the question is not a game of Battleship, where we're counting ships.

"Horses and bayonets" started trending immediately, and the gif'ing and meme'ing machine started churning out craziness. For your entertainment we've gone and gathered a little basket of our favorite "horses and bayonets" memes just for you.

Within minutes of Mitt Romney addressing a presidential debate question on equal pay for equal work by bragging that he looked through "binders full of women" to hire a few when he was governor, the meme caught on FIYAH. But get this -- within just TWO minutes of the catch phrase leapt from Mitt Romney's mouth, the domain name for BindersFullofWomen.com was scooped up. Wow! Someone was on it, huh?

Turns out the buyer was American Bridge 21st Century, a Democratic super PAC. And they've already turned it into a Tumblr-style site that presents Romney's disturbing record on women's issues. Definitely the most sensical use of the site. But had the buyer been someone else, WHO KNOWS what kind of other wild and crazy uses they could have put BindersFullofWomen.com to?! Here, a few possibilities ...

If you've never heard of Winsor McCay (1869-1934) before, you can get a taste of the cartoonist and animator's work by visiting the Google homepage today. Google's amazing animated doodle -- one of the best Google doodles I've ever seen, with dreamy clickable panels that seem to go on forever -- celebrates the 107th anniversary of Little Nemo, one of McCay's most famous creations.

Even if you're not a big comics fan, you should definitely check out the doodle just to revel in the fact that this is the sort of beautiful, surrealist artwork that used to appear in the Sunday comics. I mean, seriously, when did stuff like this get replaced with Luann and Garfield?

Newsflash: Feminists can be sexy, too! Did you know? Deborah Needleman apparently did not. Over the weekend, The New York Times T Magazine editor sent out a tweet: "The sexy (sorry feminists), smart, sassy Katie Roiphe live on stage @nypl on Wednesday night http://slate.me/T6IA3g." And women all over the Twitterverse found themselves scratching their heads and wondering who hypnotized Deborah Needleman into thinking she's Archie Bunker.

Aw geez, Aunt Debby! Women are totally okay with calling each other sexy and still being taken seriously. Especially over Twitter, where nothing is taken that seriously (except those Rihanna/Chris Brown rumors -- those we take very seriously). Where have you been? It's such a retro thing to say, I'm kind of embarrassed for her. And that brings me to the #sorryfeminists hash tag.

It's not enough to just get married anymore. No, no, people. It's your big day! You've got to hire a choreographer, a videographer, a whateverographer, film it, upload it to YouTube, and get millions to watch your lively nuptials, which hopefully feature whatever song is popular at the moment. Remember JK Wedding Dance? Seventy-seven million people have watched this couple and their family and friends boogying down the aisle to Chris Brown's "Forever." (Slightly odd choice of artist since it was posted after Rihanna's assault.)

Nor can you even just propose over dinner anymore. Nope! It's gotta be a full-on lip dub video with over 60 people! The latest viral wedding video, which has received an astonishing 1.4 million views in a week, takes on the latest parody craze: South Korean singer PSY's "Gangnam Style" video. It makes Kim Kardashian's wedding look understated.

Oh, that Internet. Always going crazy with some weird meme fad. There's been planking, owling, Tebowing, and leg bombing. Now, behold, Eastwooding! It started after Clint Eastwood spoke to the Republican National Convention -- or rather, he spoke to an empty chair. Wait, he spoke to President Obama. Who was in the empty chair. But not really. Or something. (I think we all know Clint forgot to take his meds last night.) Anyway, Clint's speech -- to an empty chair, mind you -- immediately inspired an #Eastwooding hashtag on Twitter and Internet meme. Tweeted actor Zach Braff: "Look who just sat down next to me," accompanied by a picture of an empty bench. Yeah, that's about as funny as it gets. Anyway, I'm all for trying out a new meme, so I decided to take it upon myself to #Eastwood around my apartment ...

There are a whole slew of women (and men) ogling Paul Ryan (thank you TMZ for the latest photo) and thousands more wondering what Paul Ryan Gosling has to do with any of it. I'll tell you ... it's simple. There is a whole lot of sexy going around and Paul Ryan and Ryan Gosling both fit the bill. Add some hilarious (and often politically pointed) commentary and you get yourself talking points that may not win an election -- but are sure to get some, well, a little heated.

We've already talked about the whole "Hey Girl" meme thing -- but the fact it's now happening on a variety of Twitter and Tumblr accounts as well -- well, it is genius.

Have you seen Boo, the so-called Cutest Dog in the World? Boo is a Pomeranian who has over 5 million (MILLION!) Facebook fans, thanks to his startlingly adorable appearance. Boo is so downright irresistible, he has a bunch of big-name celebrity fans, a couple of book deals, and he's the 'official pet liaison' for Virgin America.

Good for Boo, right? (Good dog!) But what's really interesting about this teddy-bear-faced social media star is that his human owner has never tried to share his spotlight. In fact, now that she's been identified, Boo's owner has refused all requests for interviews, preferring to keep the focus on her dog.

Kind of an anomaly in the PAY ATTENTION TO ME ME MEEEEE world of social media, wouldn't you say?
