Here's some terrible news to start off your Monday morning: a bride and four of her friends were killed in a limo fire this weekend near San Francisco. Nine women, all nurses, were gathered for Neriza Foja's bridal shower and bachelorette party, and had rented a 1999 Lincoln Town Car limousine to escort them around town. Then, at around 10 p.m. as they crossed the San Mateo bridge, an unexplained fire engulfed the car.

Here's a pop quiz for you -- in fact, let's make it multiple choice. Does the term "Super Drunk" refer to a.) a dysfunctional superhero b.) Lindsay Lohan's new alter ego or c.) an elementary school principal pulled over for allegedly driving with a blood alcohol content of more than twice the legal limit? If you guessed c.), you're correct!

44-year-old Kim Warren of Michigan was arrested on April 8 after two very concerned motorists called to report a driver who swerved all over the road before pulling into the Deerfield Elementary School parking lot. Little did those drivers know why Warren pulled into the school parking lot: Because Kim Warren is the principal of Deerfield Elementary School. Oh, no.

A mother who died fighting the man who had just raped her 10-year-old daughter may see justice for the horrific crime. Davis Renz is accused of kidnapping the mother and daughter after they left a gym class, tying them up, raping the daughter while her mother watched, and then stabbing the mother to death.

There are some stories that just chill you to the bone and remind you that there really are sick, sick, horribly twisted people in this world. This story is like that.

Renz escaped the electronic monitoring system that he had been on after his arrest in January on federal child pornography charges and headed out to victimize a child in the same way prosecutors say he had seen in a child porn video. It's a parent's worst nightmare. We all wonder what we might be like in a horrible moment. Would we be brave? Would we put our child before ourselves? This mom was and did.

Three women ball-gagged and tied up in the trunk of a car is no laughing matter -- though some imbeciles over at an ad agency in India seemed to think it was. The agency came up with three mock ads each depicting three people tied up in the back of a Ford Figo. Two of the ads have scantily clad women hogtied in the hatchback. One of the ads shows Paris Hilton winking as she has the Kardashian sisters tied up in the back of her car, ball-gagged or their mouths taped shut. The Kardashians don't think it's a riot either -- they're threatening to sue.

If you're a lover of tuna sandwiches who drives a new Nissan, sorry to say, but this is NOT your week. The car company has issued a recall for five 2013 model year vehicles, including the Altima and Sentra, because the front passenger airbag may not deploy in a crash, the automaker has told U.S. regulators. Then the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) chimed in to note the issue has to do with faulty sensors being unable to detect whether someone is sitting in the front passenger seat and whether the occupant is a child or small adult who might be injured by the bag.

Eeesh! Thank goodness Nissan and the NHTSA are now aware of this issue ... Airbags are a really big deal to most drivers. It's a major safety feature we really can't imagine driving without, and we are always crossing our fingers we can depend on them in the worst case scenario.

The specifics on the recall ...

Ever have a night like this? You know, one of those nights that results in the following headline: "No-Pants DWI Suspect Tries to Flee in Toy Truck." You know what? I can probably answer that question for us all: I don't think any of us have ever had a night quite that bad. At least I hope not. Here's the shocking part. I mean, here's a shocking part not already included in the headline. That allegedly drunk, pantless person who tried to drive away in a toy truck? She was a woman. I know! I assumed it was a man, too, because it's usually men doing foolish shit like this. But no. Oh womankind!

A Brooklyn couple rushing to the hospital in order to give birth to their baby was killed on the way when the car driving them crashed. Now their baby boy, born at the scene, is an orphan before he even came out of the womb. Can you even imagine how heartbreaking this is?

The baby was taken to the hospital in serious condition, but did survive the horrific crash that took the lives of his parents, Nathan and Raizy Glauber, Orthodox Jews who were probably so excited to have their very first baby.

My heart just absolutely breaks for them.

You've got car crashes, and you've got CAR CRASHES ... and then there's this catastrophic crash, which falls into a category all its own. Nearly every single detail is more unbelievable than the last: The driver of this SUV was going so fast that he "didn't see" a sharp curve in the road. He hit a grass-covered ledge, his vehicle went airborne, and the heavy car managed to fly through a wooden fence and crash into the roofs of TWO houses before it stopped.

And you still haven't heard the craziest part!!

Toyota has recalled 1.29 million vehicles worldwide due to defects with airbags and windshield wipers. In the U.S., about 752,000 Corolla and Corolla Matrix cars have been recalled, as well as thousands of similar cars in Japan, Mexico, and Canada that were manufactured between December 2001 and May 2004. The reason is that the air bags can improperly inflate. And in a second recall, about 385,000 Lexus IS luxury vehicles from the 2005 to 2011 model years are being recalled for defective wipers. (Lexus is owned by Toyota Motor.) Here's everything you need to know.
