Do social media sites encourage lewd behavior? I’m inclined to think so after taking a look at Dan Bilzerian’s Instagram feed. The poker playboy has several NSFW images posted of scantily clad ladies, along with other millionaire-ish pictures like piles of money and private planes and racecars.
Dan, who has made millions as a professional poker player, says his ascension to the title of Instagram King probably came about because he “didn’t get a ton of attention as a kid.” He added, “I guess that’s why I’m such a flashy lunatic.”
I don’t know if social media encourages debauchery, but it sure as heck allows users to celebrate it. Dan has over 200,000 followers on Instagram, where he posted pictures of topless girls, guns, himself surrounded by nearly topless girls and guns, and inexplicably, a kitten in a suitcase. I actually really liked that one -- it was adorable.
But most of them are pretty debasing, and I kind of want to bring some chicken soup over to those girls and have a chitchat about self-worth and value.
Do you think social media encourages questionable behavior?
