Your Old iPhone Could Be Worth $300 but There Is a Catch

Nicole Fabian-Weber OMG

iphoneWhoa-whoa-whoa-whoa-whoa. Get your iPhone out of the trash, friend! That thing is worth some good money. Maybe even $300. But under one condition: You need to act now. Don't even finish reading this post. Now. Actually, wait. You need to finish this post to know what to do. Then go get yo' money!

According to CNN Money, iPhones have the best resale value out of any other smartphone on the market. The only problem? Their value takes a massive nosedive right before Apple announces their next version -- and that's set to happen on September 10.

Apple is rumored to be announcing a new gold-colored iPhone, a fingerprint sensor, and a new cheaper-version "iPhone C" some time in the next few weeks. And if you wait until then to try to sell your current phone, you're definitely not going to get the most bang for your buck.

Last week, online trade-in company Gazelle was getting a new iPhone every five seconds (every five seconds!), and that number is going to keep increasing over the next few days. But, as of now, you can send them your 16 gig AT&T iPhone 5 (in good condition) for $300. You can even get the quote in writing right now and send them the phone up to 30 days later. Not a bad deal. Actually, that's a really good deal.

Okay, I'm done now, so off you go, little one! Get that money for your phone! But don't wait a minute longer!

Seriously, stop reading. Go.

Are you going to trade in your iPhone?
