Nicki Minaj is all sorts of crazy. The woman's got a crazy new gig on American Idol. She raps crazy lyrics crazy fast. And shoot, she's got some of the craziest style I've ever seen. So to be real, I was less than surprised when she went crazy recently on Mariah Carey during the Idol auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Well lucky for all of us gossip mongers, Nicki has brought the crazy to a whole new level -- on Twitter. The diva took to the popular social site yesterday slamming Mariah, saying (spelling mistakes included), "I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we've had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn."
Well now you're just making this awkward for everyone, Ms. Minaj.
I get it, Nicki's mad that Mariah went on The View and told everyone that Nicki "threatened to shoot her." Sigh, I just feel like this whole thing is being WAY blown out of proportion. Either way, Nicki bringing it to Twitter and being enabled by her fans and followers probably isn't the best idea. Being egged on by the Twitterverse is fueling her own aggression and making things worse. No matter who takes "her side," she still has to show up to work with Mariah, and there's no point in continually making the situation more and more uncomfortable for everyone involved.
Plain and simple: Once you say something in Twitter or any other form of social media, it's out there for good. Sure, you can delete a status and try and pretend it never happened, but you know someone somewhere has grabbed that status, posted it somewhere else, and BAM you're tomorrow's big headline.
Can't we all just, like, sing some sort of duet together and get along? See what Ryan Seacrest has to say about it all, here:
