I think it's pretty safe to say that JWoww and her boyfriend Roger are adorable. You know, in that Jersey Shore, when a guido loves a guidette kind of way. I think it's also safe to say that the recently engaged then not engaged couple is THE most interactive on Twitter out of any of their MTV counterparts. I haven't seen a couple tweet back and forth to one another since The Bachelorette's Ashley and JP. All day, every day. It makes me wonder, do they actually talk in person?
Back to our regularly scheduled programming. Yesterday, things heated up a bit between the two in under 140 characters. In a poke to JWoww, Roger tweeted, "@JENNIWOWW Don't make me go Chris Brown on your ass."
Holy ... whoa. Overstepping the line a bit, are we?
I get it, Roger should never allude to the idea that he would beat Jenni up. That's definitely not kosher. But using the phrase "go Chris Brown" isn't the worst thing in the world. It's a fact. Chris Brown is known as the guy that beat up Rihanna on the way to an awards show. Referencing him that way may not be a flattering statement, but it's just the truth.
Of course, a lot of celebrities say things on Twitter and actually want to be criticized because it gets them publicity. You know, like the king of the Twitter rant Kanye West. I don't think that was Roger's goal here. I think he was just messing with his girlfriend, said something wrong, and it turned into something much bigger. Poor judgement aside, Roger and JWoww will continue to flirt in the Twitterverse, and we will continue to scrutinize it. Oh, the joys of social media.
What do you think of Roger's Chris Brown tweet? Was it inappropriate?
