It can send a message to a person on the opposite side of the globe within seconds; it can shoot a machine the size of a car to Mars; it can track which cities drop the most F-bombs. That's right. Technology's gone there. Pro-bably unnecessarily, though, since I think we can all venture to guess which parts of the country are home to the biggest potty mouths. Joke's on you, scientists, this was a massive waste of time!

For whatever reason, a Ukrainian-based web development firm studied tweets posted from across 462 locations in the United States, and then isolated specific phrases from these tweets -- one of these phrases being, yes, "fuck you." Unsurprisingly, among the cities tweeting f.u. the most were Los Angeles and New York (home of the "F**k you, you f***ing f**k" t-shirt). Side note, that's the second "city" study this week where New York's come up first. The first being "which cities have the most spoiled kids" and now this. One could almost surmise from this information -- that New Yorkers are obnoxious.

Anyway, I'm not quite sure why researchers felt the need to gather this information when there are more pressing things to be studied (isn't there an election going on?). But it's fairly hilarious nonetheless. And, I guess, maybe these findings could lead to more useful things -- like which cities are the most stressed out and why. I don't know. I'm not a scientist. I'm just a New York girl who wants you to have an awesome fucking weekend.
