I remember, as a child, my family used to always play Santa to fool us. We would go out and leave treats for Santa's reindeer, and my parents/grandparents would leave footprints in the house. They used to make the holidays so magical for us, and I'm so excited to be able to start doing that for our child now.

I remember, once, even, in the middle of the summer, there was a loud noise as a window slammed, and we ran to look and there was a tuft of cotton stuck in the window, and they told us Santa was checking up on us, lol.

(the footprints were Santa's, lol, they'd say)

My favorite holiday memory would be last Christmas. I had gone a year without falling back into depression and a year had passed since I'd last used self-injury as a way to cope. I was so happy just being with my whole family I don't think any present I got topped the feeling I had when we just sat around, played cards, told stories, and laughed all night. It was fantastic!

The first snow in Rio Grande valley TEXAS. I think it had been about sixty years since last "snow." We all woke up at our rnch, had fireplace going and were ready to eat menudo. (You have to slow cook it and check it constantly, so it was 3am when the snow came in.) We went out side to check it out and I guess with all the excitement , the goats got out and we ended up spending some of the morning running in the snow and chasing goats. Needless to say that menudo was goooood ti come inside to.

Last christmas. . .My daughters first. Seeing hes so happy. Enjoying all her family. We didnt have much money and were able to just afford 5 gifts But she looked so happy and looking at her smiling and enjoying her dad, and the 4 of her grandparents just made it all so magical.(i never had my dad or grandparents with me) And alyssa i live in Brownsville and we enjoyed that so much too!

My best holiday memory is when my dad tried making lechon (roasted pig, whole animal) in our backyard. He made a pit out of cement blocks, coal, and an old matress frame coil. Seeing my dad shirtless, cussing his heart out, and sweating bullets was the funniest thing ever. Needless to say, my mom lost her s!&t and there has been huge rectangle of cinched grass in our backyard since 1997.

That was the best Christmas dinner ever, lmao.

When I was five or six we all got up on Christmas morning and there was a HUGE gift under the tree. My parents had bout us a see-saw!!! We were all so happy and I even helped my dad put it together outside that afternoon :)

my best holiday memories....was when i am with my 3 girls and together we attended the midnight mass in the Philippines from 16th of December to Christmas Eve.
