Adorable Baby Thinks Magazine Is a Broken iPad (VIDEO)

baby with magazineBabies these days. They're so different from when I was one. Moons ago, when I was a drooling, waddling blob of cuteness, if you handed me a magazine, well, truth be told, I probably would have tried to eat it. Today's babies? They don't eat magazines. They just think of them as nothing more than broken iPads.

Check out this video of an adorable baby trying to use a magazine like an iPad. Welcome to the future, my friends.

Kind of crazy to witness, huh? There's something that will always be kind of odd to me about seeing babies -- especially itty-bitty ones that can't even talk yet -- operating technology better than, say, my grandmother could.

We non-babies have grown up watching technology evolve -- Apple II to MacBook; Nintendo to X-Box; giant Zack Morris cell phone to iPhone and Android. When the iPad came out, it was new and fascinating and unlike anything we'd ever seen before. To bambinos, it's just an everyday part of life. They don't know a world without that stuff. Trippy, right?

Although I guess in their lifetime they will see many advancements in technology, as well. Though that's kind of crazy to think about -- if they're coming into the world where we are now, technology-wise, image the evolutions they'll see!

Ugh, we're all so old.

Do you let your baby play with your iPad, iPhone, etc?

My 4 ur old knows how to unlock my iPhone AND download apps. I had to put a code on apps AND THEN after she figured how to get around that one day I had to go on the net to look at instructions on HOW to disable in app purchases so she would not be charging stuff on my account. And my 1 yr old is close behind her. Shes too little she hands it to me ( to unlock it for her ) and knows to press the games and how to start them. I'm like damn these kids are MAD GENIUSES nowadays!!! LoL makes me feel ancient !! And I'm only 37!!

So, a baby can't just slap and touch pages without adults saying that they're trying to use an iPad?

My 11-mth old twin daughters have an iPad 2 which they FaceTime their daddy with. We play chase games with it and they watch videos of daddy all the time. Wouldn't be without it!

How sad. No one must be reading BOOKS to these children. ipad or not.

@Sarah, that was my thought as well. My 2.5 year old son knows a little bit about computers but to him a magazine is a book with pages that are really easy to rip.

vanes... vanessa5470 kid learned how to use my MIL Ipad at 18months. I never paid attention until DH got me one for my bday..and I had to literally learn how to use the dang thing from watching my now 2 yr old. He uses it with such ease and grace, I'm dumbfounded.

The ipads are life savers though; we travel a lot and it keeps my LO entertained for dayssss. We dont really read magazines at our house, but he does have regular books as well as board....he knows the difference between electronica and non, lol.

It's bad for the kid's fine motor skills to not be able to turn a page. Parenting fail.

You can see as she touches the pages with her finger, she is trying to get the mag  to act like the IPAD screen.Thats why she touches her leg to make sure her finger is cute

Why do people think this is cute? Its not. My daughter is not allowed anywhere near my computer and she's 4. She has her video game and her little clickstart but she won't have access until she needs it for school.

Why is this kid even allowed to play with an iPad? Kids need face to face interaction with a parent, not screen to face interaction with a stupid computer. PLAY with your child, READ to your child, WALK with your child, TALK with them. Don't use technology as a babysitter. Kids don't need a computer. They don't need an iPad. They don't need anything but you and some peers. Jeez.
