I have news for you: You're washing your face wrong. That's right, something you've been doing since junior high; something so simple as rubbing some cleanser on your face and rinsing it off -- you're not doing it right. How do I know? Gwyneth Paltrow told me. In a round about way.

The Queen of Everything revealed some of her beauty tricks recently, and among them? How she washes her face. Think what you want of Gwynnie, but when she talks face washing, I'm listening.

Your classic cat's eye is gorgeous -- but if you're getting a little bored with the look and want to spice things up, you'll love what spring has in store for you. The next great eye makeup trend is graphic eyeliner, which you should think of as the cat eye's cooler, hipper cousin.

Depending on how dramatic and bold you want to get, graphic eyeliner can make a real statement. Instead of placing one solid line along your upper eyelash and painting it thicker by the outer corners, you're free to allow your imagination to run wild when playing with graphic looks. From precise, thin lines that are applied to the crease to artful arrows that jut out from the eye's corner to thicker, squared-off "wings" worn with no mascara, anything goes with graphic eyeliner.

Here are 4 great tutorials for 4 different graphic eyeliners looks to help you get started.

Not that a woman should ever have to look a certain way for a man to like her, but come on. When you're trying to impress upon a guy what a catch you are, you might want to spiff up a bit. You know, put on some mascara and some flattering clothes. Maybe even smile!

And if you believe the rumors that Kristen Stewart is trying to win back Robert Pattinson, you'd think she'd put some effort into it. Or maybe she is trying to prove the tabloids wrong by dressing with more grunge and scowl than usual? Hard to tell, but she is not doing herself any favors with this outfit.

The Beauty Department, a fantastic skin/hair/makeup website you seriously ought to be perusing weekly, recently posted on "mascara cocktailing." What is mascara cocktailing, you ask? Why, it's the combining of two different mascaras a la a cocktail. The point of mascara cocktailing is to get everything you could possibly want out of a mascara: Length and volume; definition and no clumps; etc. Mascara, like everything in life, is not one size fits all, so by combining two (or more, if you're feeling crazy), you're getting exactly the look you want.

The Beauty Department named a few of their favorite combos -- Kevin Aucoin Volume + Blinc for volume and length; Maybelline Full 'N Soft + Lancome Definicils to thicken and separate; and CoverGirl Flamed Out + Tarte Gifted Smart Mascara to wing out and intensify -- but it's definitely worth it to try out a few on your own.

And mascara isn't the only makeup you can "cocktail."

Leggings may look like pants, with their deceptively thick fabric and ability to turn any pair of boots into a fashion "do." Leggings may even act like pants, keeping your legs warm enough to make you think you're wearing, well, actual pants. But don't fall for it, guys -- leggings are NOT, nor will they ever be, true pants. Therefore, the number one rule of wearing leggings? Keep thy butt hidden at all times!

Paris Hilton recently decided to ignore that dress code of honor. As a result, she's paying for it by having her glam card taken away from her as folks accuse her of trying to dress like an ordinary mere mortal -- albeit one who has not gotten the memo about leggings.

Everyone is talking about how spring is coming (hooray!) and they can't wait to slip into some toe-exposing sandals. My pedicure is ready and I love the air on my toes. But I'm also not going to give up my ankle boots. They are perfect with jeans in the winter and fall, but they look great with dresses and shorts in spring and summer. Yes, ankle boots. Even the suede ones.

I have some very specific reasons your ankle boots should be a year-long staple.

Aside from the odd yoga class, I haven't seen very much of my bare toes in the last, oh ... six months. But boy oh boy am I looking forward to the end of winter and the onset of sandal season! However, thanks to the odd yoga class, I do know that my poor feet, stuffed into Uggs for the entire winter and basically ignored, are due for some tender TLC and pampering. Put it another way: I need to do a little groundwork before I sit myself in a pedicure chair. It's only decent.

While an illusion dress won't give the illusion that you've dropped 10 pounds (a girl can wish), it will give the appearance of a more contoured shape. It highlights your figure through color blocking and lines, essentially making this the most flattering dress style this season. I'll even go so far as to say the illusion dress eliminates the need for shapewear because the design does the shaping for you (without restricting your breathing).

Over at The Prowl, we rounded up our favorite illusion dresses for spring that are as bright and colorful as spring dresses should be. Check out this preview of illusion dresses for spring style inspiration!

My apartment is about the size of a doll house, so I love space-saving anything. But in order to really work for me, a piece must do double-duty. I'm talking serious multifunctionality -- look good, do two different jobs, and maybe even fold the laundry. (Someone is going to invent that someday ... ) Here's 7 very chic double-duty ideas that will help keep the clutter at bay.
