Cellphones, guys. They're the best, aren't they? Except when we lose them. Then they're the worst. We've then gotta pay for a new one; try to get back all our phone numbers; and if we don't have some sort of cloud, yuck, we've lost all our photos. It's, in a word, balls. The roses from season 17 of The Bachelor have barely wilted and the world is already dying to know who the next sexy single looking for love will be. Admittedly, Sean Lowe is a hard act to follow. He wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but damn was that dude hot. Among the names being tossed around as a legitimate candidate? Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough. As much as I love seeing Derek bust a move on the dance floor, I can't imagine watching an entire season of him making the moves on 25 women. In any case, his reps laughed off the idea. Whenever we travel I'll usually look up any fun events happening in the area -- like state fairs. But have you ever traveled just for an event? Exciting races and festivals are happening all over the country this spring and summer, and they're worth planning your next family vacation around. Love sports? Prefer pirates? Here's a few that look especially fun to me -- something for everyone, no matter what your interest. 

When it comes to picking a baby name, there is inspiration everywhere -- including what's on our plates. Food. Yes. A delicious place to look for potential names for your little yummy bundle of joy. These kids today and their crazy, uh, promposals. Yes, that's a combination of the words "prom" and "proposal," and it's the latest teen trend: Going to extreme and elaborate measures to ask someone to the prom. Like the high school guys in this viral video, who staged a super funny (if mildly disturbing) childbirth skit which ends with the "newborn" dude going straight to the object of affection and "promposing."

It's all very creative and sweet and entertaining, which is to say NOTHING like the typically underwhelming invitations extended in my day: Some guy mumbling "So if you're not going with anybody I guess we might as well go together" while you pull your books out of your locker or that other guy passing you a note in science class reading, simply, "Yo. Prom?"
