In the past 30 years, many accepted practices have changed. What people considered normal and safe back then -- transporting your newborn in the front-seat, having a latchkey kid at age 6, and letting them explore the woods with no parental guidance -- is pretty much grounds for arrest these days. But, in that simpler time they call the '80s, there were some great ideas that I'm thinkin' we should totally revive -- the way Disney Channel stars have brought back overly-sequined attire, off-the-shoulder shirts, and leopard print day-glow leggings!

Thanks, Shake It Up, I can barely look at my daughter without retinal strain!

Let's be clear: some of these suggestions could possibly get you arrested (by Joan Rivers and the fashion police), but I think they're worth bringing back, or are they? You decide ...

Being the busy wonder women that we are, we often brush off nagging aches and pains. We chalk them up to nothing more than a long, stressful day. But that can be a serious mistake. One famous mom who knows that all too well is former U.S. Olympic swimmer and gold medalist Summer Sanders, who most recently served as a 2012 Summer Olympics commentator.

Sanders' legs began feeling tired and achy after her second pregnancy. She'd catch herself massaging her calves whenever she was sitting down. Initially, she assumed it was just a sign of getting older -- no big deal. But when her legs were aching so badly after a day trip to Disneyland with the kids, she suspected it was something more ... Turns out, she was suffering from chronic venous insufficiency, a progressive condition that typically manifests as varicose veins.

I recently caught up with her to talk about her experience with the condition, which inspired her involvement in the "Rethink Varicose Veins" campaign.

Ryan Lochte is taking over. Seriously. He's going to take over everything. He's already taken over the Olympics. Then it will be reality TV (The Bachelor and Dancing With the Stars and his own show). Then unwatchable tween TV shows (90210). Then the fashion world. And now shows that are actually kind of good -- like 30 Rock.

Jack Burditt, a writer for the show, tweeted a photo of Lochte hanging out with Tina Fey. It's the final season of 30 Rock, and I guess they're pulling out all the stops with celebrity guest appearances. Just didn't think Lochte had the acting chops for this kind of programming, but -- jeah for him!

I told you. He's everywhere. And I for one can't wait to see how he does on 30 Rock and if he can pull off this cameo.

Hey everyone! Happy almost long weekend! Can I get a "JEAH!!"? That's exactly what Ryan Lochte is saying because it looks like he'll be cashing in big time after becoming somewhat of a celebrity after the 2012 Olympic Games. Well, he's got the sexy look, he's got the sexy body, he's endearingly awkward and somewhat of a douche ... sounds like the makings of a great new reality TV show star!

Shockingly, that's exactly what he and his management team are thinking too. On top of trying to get spots on Dancing With the Stars and The Bachelor and having a cameo on 90210, he's reportedly talking to E! about coming out with his own show. WOW! Crazy. Insane! This is the most surprising thing I've heard all week.

His synopsis? "Pretty much, they follow me on my normal day, just training, doing my own fashion line," he described.

    Errr ... sounds ... enthralling, doesn't it?

Ryan Lochte is claiming he's happy he wasn't invited to Prince Harry's Royal Ball in Vegas last weekend. I claim he's lying. Ryan Lochte's happy he didn't get caught balls-deep in booze, naked chicks, and other bacchanalia accoutrements last weekend; I think he would have loved to have been invited to back to Harry's swank $8,000-a-night suite overlooking the Vegas strip. Who wouldn't have? It looked like a ball! Okay, I'll stop with the ball jokes now. Maybe. Probably not.

I don't claim to be a foam-finger-carrying sports fan, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching the summer Olympics this year. And I thoroughly enjoyed watching Ryan Lochte -- regardless of his inability to "speak good". So when I saw this video of him having an impromptu breaststroke swim meet at a Vegas hotel pool -- against Prince Harry -- um, yeah, I clicked. And I can't tell you the last time I spent 49 seconds so productively.

Jeez, friends, what is it about Ryan Lochte? It seems that he is taking over the world recently. The Olympic medalist will be making a cameo appearance on 90210, a show I was surprised to learn is still producing new episodes, and he's gunning to be featured on Dancing With the Stars as well as The Bachelor. I mean, he's super hot, he's famous ... why not?

Luckily for the entire world, there's some hilariously awkward footage of Ryan filming his cameo appearance on 90210 and his reaction to how, like, difficult acting can, like, really, like, be. Then, as he spoke about how he wishes the people from The Bachelor would just cast him already, we get a ridiculously cheesy one-liner that will hopefully help producers figure out that the show could actually be full of pure comedic gold.

Ryan LochteYou guys, it's official: Ryan Lochte is taking over. Everything. It seems that ever since the 28-year-old upset Michael Phelps in that first Olympic race, the men's 400 IM final, we simply can't get enough of him. Not only is he an 11-time Olympic medalist, he's ridiculously good-looking too. Hell, this guy has made headlines for admitting to peeing in the pool.

From starting his own clothing line to talks about making apperances on The Bachelor and Dancing With the Stars to numerous video parodies to creating his own language ... we thought we'd do a quick roundup of the ways Ryan is planning on continuing to invade all of our lives post-Olympics. OMG, I think we've got the next Kim Kardashian on our hands! I'm just waiting for the sex tape. Seriously, take a look and see for yourself.

Ryan Lochte may not be the best talker in the world, but he's not so bad at the swimming. And if you can believe it, he's actually somewhat amusing, too. The Olympic swimmer/Dancing With the Stars-hopeful recently made his inevitable Funny or Die debut, and despite the fact that the cadence of his speech bares a slight resemblance to that of Vicky from Small Wonder, he's good in it! I mean, dude's talking about peeing -- and pooping -- in pools. How could he go wrong?

Dancing With the Stars fan and MamasLatinas writer Michelle Regalado is extremely excited for a certain potential Olympian who could be hitting the DWTS dance floor in a future season! This is one rumor we'd love to see play out.

Watch out William Levy -- a new Cuban hunk could be appearing on Dancing With the Stars! Olympian swimmer Ryan Lochte recently told reporters that he would like to participate on the dancing competition. AH, excuse me while I squeal with joy.
