Season 14 of Dancing With the Stars came to an end last night, and NFL player Donald Driver & his partner Peta Murgatroyd are the official winners of the mirror ball trophy! I have to admit -- when Donald was first announced as a cast member, I figured he'd be voted off fairly quickly, because football players are typically too big and burly to be graceful on the dance floor.

But boy, was I ever proven wrong! Can you believe how Donald came out of the gate running on the very first night, and only got better and better each week? At times, it was hard to tell whether he or Peta was the ballroom professional -- that's how impressive his dancing skills were.

Beyonce wrote the song and Jay-Z did a cameo in it, but they ain’t got nothin’ on Anthony Cromartie and his wife, Terricka, who are genuinely crazy and, I guess, in love. The New York Jets cornerback, who was in Miami on May 6, got two texts from her in the wee hours of the morning saying: “God forgive me, I don’t want to die. What have I done?” and “I cut my wrists. I took those pills.” Naturally, he was alarmed—particularly because the missus is seven months pregnant—and called local New Jersey police to check on her back home.

So when emergency responders literally beat down her door with an axe and a sledgehammer to save her from her own self-murderous hands, she was all like oopsie! I was just taking a nap in bed with my two daughters and, oh FYI, had no intention of killing myself. As it turns out, Mrs. Cromartie just suspected that the hubs was cheating on her and sent those messages to shake him up a little bit. 

Awwww! Don't ya just love Tim Tebow? He's so sweet and adorable I can't even stand it sometimes. Every time I see a photo of him, I can't decide if I want to squeeze him or take him under my wing and protect him from all the haters. He's just such a GOOD guy -- and that's why nobody will care about the photo of him posing with half-naked women.

Being the gentleman that he is, Tim agreed to pose backstage with some members of the Rock of Ages cast. But when Neka Zang posted the photo of Tebow smack dab in the middle of a "stripper" sandwich, "someone" asked that the picture be taken off Twitter. And of course, there is already speculation that Tebow himself, or someone from his camp, is behind the request to remove it.

Football season is still a few months away, but people are already using Tim Tebow to make a few extra bucks at his expense. (Surprise, surprise.) For the life of me, I just don't understand why the fact that Tim is a decent human being with a strong belief system is such a bad thing, but I guess some people just feel threatened by a man who is committed to his faith. (Can you tell I'm a Tebow fan?)

A company called Cubby Tees has been selling these green & white New York Jets shirts with the same script as the team logo and the words "My Jesus" printed on them -- and Tebow isn't exactly thrilled at how they're poking fun at him. In fact, he's so irate, he's actually threatening to file a lawsuit against them for illegally using his name to market & sell the shirts.

Well here's something you don't see every day. Nick Mangold, the center for the New York Jets, got his chest waxed on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Of course this is something you're gonna want to see.

Jimmy does a segment on his show called "Wax On, Wax Off." A "randomly chosen" audience member was asked a set of trivia questions to win some money. Why is "randomly chosen" in quotes? Because the guy they picked happened to be a self-proclaimed New York Giants fan. If he got any questions wrong, Mangold would pay for them with his chest hair.

Since the questions involved Lithuanian Prime Ministers and filling in quotes by Chaucer, Mangold's chest hair was doomed from the start.

You may not have heard of Joe Haden, but after reading about what a supremely cool guy he is, you might become his newest fan. He's a professional football player for the Cleveland Browns and recently signed a five-year, $50 million contract. But even with that jaw-dropping salary, he seems to be an all-around, super-nice guy. He's also on Twitter quite a bit, and that definitely worked out for Joyce Grendel, an 18-year-old high school senior at Independence (Ohio) High. 

Because poor Joyce went through the stuff teenage nightmares are made of: getting jilted at the last-minute by her date to her senior prom. 

Can someone please tell me what is up with Tom Brady's new faux hawk hairdo? Because he looks absolutely ridiculous. Trying to pull off a mohawk is hard enough, and super cool rock star types are usually the only ones who can do it. But getting away with a faux hawk? Good grief. Tom should've known better than to go that route.

However, I guess I should at least give him props for cutting his hair at all, even though this new style isn't doing much for him. Remember when he refused to cut his hair -- because Gisele wouldn't let him, or something like that? I think that was the reason, if I recall correctly. Regardless, he was in dire need of a trim.

But if Tom wants to bring his A-game come football season, he really needs to lose the faux hawk. And here are 10 reasons why.

New York Post columnist Phil Mushnick has embroiled himself in a little bit of a mess now, hasn’t he? He suggested the Brooklyn Nets should be called the New York Niggers because of co-owner Jay-Z’s liberal use of the word in his lyrics and also because, let’s be honest, he couldn’t resist a subliminal N-word jab. But like the trooper that he is, he’s standing by his story and flipping the script by saying Jay-Z is the racist one. For using the N-word in the first place.

I was riding with him until that part. I rail against anybody calling a black dude a nigger (or a “nigga,” which is the African-American-ized remix of the age-old slur). It grates my nerves personally and insults our heritage wholly, whether it’s falling from the lips of a middle-aged, white sports journalist or a multimillionaire superstar rapper from Brooklyn. But I have to shake my head at Mushnick accusing Jay of being racist. That doesn’t make sense.
