Olympic TowerIt's only natural to expect some crazy news to come out about certain athletes (and politicians) before an event such as the Olympics, in which so many famous folks are competing on the world stage. But I didn't really expect this much insanity before the Opening Ceremonies even aired!
Now that the incredible Opening Ceremonies have come and gone, it's been interesting to think of everything that's happened already. Can't even begin to imagine what's going to take place during these next two weeks, but I for one will be sure to tune in.
From athletes' sexcapades to a Mitt Romney gaffe to drug testing to an athlete getting booted for a Tweet, let's take a look back after watching the Opening Ceremonies last Friday night to the headline-making scandals leading up to the Big Games. Because ... why not!
Will President Obama jump on the Mitt Romney mistake? Will the Olympics be able to fly the correct flags during the medal ceremonies? Will Voula Papachristou make crazy, ridiculous criticisms about the Games on Twitter? I certainly can't wait to find out! After remembering what's happened already, I'm so pumped for these next two weeks to see the next big headline.

2. The Greek triple jumper was booted because she is a raging racist and the Greeks smartly wanted to distance themselves from her. The fact that she tweeted it shows her lack of intelligence and no, she's not allowed freedom of speech when it's ugly and pointed at many of her fellow competitors.
3. Hope Solo is just plain idiotic to take medication that is or could be on a list of banned substances. Didn't she check before tossing them down? She should have been kicked to the curb and taught a lesson. Was the fact that the Olymics were approaching over her head? Not somebody I really want representing my country, thanks.
You forget that That Mitt Romney actually knows what he is talking about. He has organized the Olympics before. He was not blindly commenting. You people are like blood-thirsty hounds waiting to attack Mitt Romney if he sneezes wrong, but can excuse any short coming that Obama has. And believe be Obama has made some huge blunders. Wake up and look at the facts.
No one here just MADE UP this controversy to get down on Mitt. The day after Romney said those comments it was all over Britains newspapers saying "Mitt the Twit!" And "Who invited Mitt the Downer?!" And so on. So for you to claim we (and I'm assuming you're talking about us "liberals") aren't just picking on the man.
You should read my first comment I left here. Even though pony and kisses and JAFE have yet to acknowledge that I said anything that wasnt due to me "drinking koolaide".. like that Mitt has a unique position in this case because of his background..
