Are you getting excited for the start of the Summer Olympics 2012 this Friday, July 27? It seems like we've been waiting forever for the games to kick off in London, and there's been so much anticipation to watch our favorite athletes compete for the gold.
And while some of us are mainly interested in feasting our eyes on all of the delicious Olympic athletes and their rock-hard bods, there are also plenty of fans who appreciate the competitive nature of the games, and also feel a strong sense of pride rooting for the U.S.A.
Of course, the Olympic 2012 schedule might be a little bit confusing since the events are taking place in a different time zone than most of us live in.
You can pop over and view the entire official Olympic schedule put out by NBC if there are specific events you want to make sure you don't miss. It lists them all out by sport, so you can pick and choose which games to tune in for. (And there's even the option of viewing them on My Time or London Time, which is pretty cool.) The schedule lists all of the games from July 27 to August 12, and it also shows how many medals will be given out on which days, etc.
But in case you don't have as much time as you'd like to sit down and watch the games, you may want to at least take in the opening ceremonies, which will air on Friday, July 27 at 4 p.m. eastern time.
And if you won't be near a TV because you're at work, you can also watch some of the Olympic events online. (Shh -- don't tell your boss.)
Which of the Olympic sports and which athletes are you most excited to see?
