Just when we thought testimony in the Jerry Sandusky trial couldn't possibly get any more disgusting, three more victims took the stand yesterday to describe encounters they allegedly had with Sandusky. And one particular accuser's claims were especially horrific. He said that Jerry Sandusky repeatedly raped him in the basement of his home while he was spending the night there.
And on top of that, he also said that his screams for help went unheard -- even while Sandusky's wife, Dottie, was upstairs. He said he thought the basement must be soundproof, and so he finally backed down and let the encounters happen because he felt like there was nothing he could to to stop them.
He said, "He got real aggressive, and just forced me into it. And I just went with it -- there was no fighting against it."
To make things even more gut-wrenching, the young man (who is now 18), detailed how he was sometimes left bleeding after the incidents with Sandusky. If his story is indeed, true, then I can't even imagine how scared and powerless he must have felt during those horrible times in that basement. And I can't for the life of me understand why his cries would go unanswered.
As for the two other victims -- one surprisingly showed compassion for Jerry Sandusky, saying even though he was fondled by him, he still made him feel loved and accepted.
The third victim also described maintaining a positive relationship with Sandusky over the years, until he finally realized that what happened to him as a boy was inappropriate.
The trial will not resume until next week -- and I shudder to think what else may be revealed, considering how graphic and terrible the accounts have been thus far.
Do you think all of the accusers are telling the truth?
