This is the part of the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse trial where I get rip-roaring mad. More mad than I've ever been. It's because this is the part where an adult walked in on Sandusky with a young boy, reported it, and nothing happened! It could have been stopped right there. Grr. Yesterday, Mike McQueary, a former Penn State assistant football coach who was a grad assistant at the time, testified that he walked in on Sandusky having sex with a young boy in the locker room showers. He said he heard a "skin-on-skin smacking sound" and became "very alert" that he was walking in on something embarrassing.
McQueary testified that he saw Sandusky naked with an unidentified boy (about 10 years old) pushed up against the shower stall. He says he slammed the door shut to try and stop what was happening. "It was more than my brain could handle," he said. He later reported what he saw to his father, John, who is also set to testify.
A chain of despicable events follows. McQueary reported the incident to football head Joe Paterno, and later top administration officials were contacted. Yet no one contacted the police.
Sandusky had admitted to showering with boys, but says no assault ever took place. Sorry??? What excuse is there for EVER showering with young boys??!!
The prosecution questioned what McQueary thinks he saw, but he replied, "I did not see an erection; I did not see an actual penis inserted into anything." But he says it was very clear what was happening. Of course, we all wish he had gone to the police, and he probably does too.
The defense tried for 85 minutes to shake his testimony, but witnesses reportedly said that McQueary stood up well.
What do you think of McQueary?

I get so sick looking at that smug look on Sandusky's face. I hope to god he gets what's coming to him!
McQueary disgusts me. He walked into a terrible situation he could've stopped. It's not like he was some traumatized kid. He's a freaking adult, and he left a child with that monster. He's an ass, and deserves his own time in prison.
Seriously, you want to blame this on dead Joe Paterno and Penn state? Sandusky was reported and investigated years before that incident... Yet the system failed these kids. It should have stopped then, never had a chance to get to this point. The McQueary incident wasn't the first time he was caught.
