Poor Lamar Odom just can't catch a break. I mean, this really just isn't his year when it comes to scoring points on or off the basketball court. First he got released from the Dallas Mavericks, then he and Khloe Kardashian announced that they were taking a hiatus from their reality show, Khloe & Lamar, and now, the Mavericks have hit Odom with yet another low blow.
The team took a vote on whether or not Lamar deserved his $14,000 share of their playoff money, and they ultimately decided he wasn't worthy of getting a cent. Ouch.
You'd think that with as much money as these guys make, coupled with the fact that Lamar was part of the team regardless of how many games they won, they should've at least cut him some slack and given him his fair share. Hmm. It's almost like they are a little bit jealous of all the extra buzz that has surrounded Lamar because of who his wife is. I'm sure plenty of those dudes would've loved to see their names in the media over and over again.
As much as he wants to try and resurrect his basketball glory days, it's really starting to look like this particular career path might not pan out for Lamar. And I know that he thinks taking a break from reality TV may be exactly what he needs to get focused on his game again, but after this latest slap, he may want to at least reconsider it. The Kardashians are a pretty powerful force in the entertainment world, and they definitely know how to make a living off being famous. It's worth a shot -- and at the very least, it will keep him on a successful path even if he never makes it back onto the court.
Do you think Lamar will make a huge comeback eventually?

You seriously think they didn't give him his share because they are jealous??
If his contribution to the team was worth anything they wouldn't have dropped him. It's been said over and over this was his worst season. He took time off a couple of times and it's been clear from the beginning he didn't want to be with that team; that his heart is with the Lakers and not with the team signing his check.
If I were on the team I wouldn't have given him the money either.
Oh thank you GilmoreGirl. The Mavs are not jealous of him. Are you kidding me? He was worthless while he was here.
Oh Lamar Odom DEFINITELY deserves his share. He was part of the team regardless of how long. If it were any of the other players they'd EXPECT their money too right? So why shouldn't he? Thats some bullshit if I've ever heard of bullshit! If the Mavs arent careful they seem a bit jealous of his fame surrounding his at one time Laker status, his reality show, who his wife is and whatever else can be found. Give Lamar what he is due....his $14 grand!
If the Mavs didn't want to pay Lamar they should have released him from the team. Instead they made him inactive- meaning he couldn't sign with another team because he was still a Maverick. Legally he could sue them, and the NBA players association would be obligated to help. He most likely won't because it would make him look bad, and because he doesn't need the money. They already had to pay him for the entire regular season anyway.
