You know what we haven't seen in a little while? Someone in the military asking someone famous to be their date to a military ball on YouTube! So, in honor of this famous day of love, let's check out the latest invite. Airman Jamie Walden asked Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow to be her date at a military ball taking place in Shreveport, Louisiana. Yippee!!!
And hello? Why wouldn't she ask Tebow? He's athletic, talented, famous, seems like a good guy, and would look awesome in a tux. In light of Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, and Kristin Cavallari accepting their invites, and the fact that it's the off-season for football, he should definitely say yes!
Check out her video, which already has over 211,000 hits:
She's so cute! How could you say no to those dimples? The 20-year-old says in the video that it'd be her first ball, and she enlisted fellow service members (even her own mom) to help her get him to say yes.
Tebow would definitely get some great PR by going to the ball, and it's not like he's super-busy in the middle of the off-season. It could be fun for him and it'd be a night Jamie would obviously never forget. It'd be quite the honor for both of them. I don't see any reason why Tebow shouldn't go to this ball -- unless you're thinking about all of the other invites for star athletes that are sure to come if this works!
It's great to get even a tiny glimpse at the faces of the men and women who are serving our country. I love the fact that they took a few seconds out of their day protecting us to have fun and help Jamie with her video. When we see shots of folks in the military serving abroad watching the big game cheering for their favorite team, it's nice to know that sports help remind them of home and give them even a brief reprieve from feeling so far away. That's what makes Tebow accompanying Jamie so darn perfect! Got that, Tebow?
Do you think Tim Tebow should say yes to the military ball invite?
