You know what we haven't seen in a little while? Someone in the military asking someone famous to be their date to a military ball on YouTube! So, in honor of this famous day of love, let's check out the latest invite. Airman Jamie Walden asked Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow to be her date at a military ball taking place in Shreveport, Louisiana. Yippee!!!
And hello? Why wouldn't she ask Tebow? He's athletic, talented, famous, seems like a good guy, and would look awesome in a tux. In light of Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis, and Kristin Cavallari accepting their invites, and the fact that it's the off-season for football, he should definitely say yes!
Check out her video, which already has over 211,000 hits:
She's so cute! How could you say no to those dimples? The 20-year-old says in the video that it'd be her first ball, and she enlisted fellow service members (even her own mom) to help her get him to say yes.
Tebow would definitely get some great PR by going to the ball, and it's not like he's super-busy in the middle of the off-season. It could be fun for him and it'd be a night Jamie would obviously never forget. It'd be quite the honor for both of them. I don't see any reason why Tebow shouldn't go to this ball -- unless you're thinking about all of the other invites for star athletes that are sure to come if this works!
It's great to get even a tiny glimpse at the faces of the men and women who are serving our country. I love the fact that they took a few seconds out of their day protecting us to have fun and help Jamie with her video. When we see shots of folks in the military serving abroad watching the big game cheering for their favorite team, it's nice to know that sports help remind them of home and give them even a brief reprieve from feeling so far away. That's what makes Tebow accompanying Jamie so darn perfect! Got that, Tebow?
Do you think Tim Tebow should say yes to the military ball invite?

and I bet you any one of the celebrities that were asked would agree that they felt honored to attend not obligated
And Kristin your comment about the media "ripping " them apart is baseless...Scarlett Johansson, Betty White, and Miley Cyrus all turned down their invites with class and none of them were "ripped apart" for it
I agree with Kristi, particularly with this celebrity. The press already shreds him for daring to show his faith in God, now if he refuses her without a damn good reason, it's just one more leaf to add to the pile.
And while the first request, waaaay back, a year or more ago might have been cute, quirky and not really meant for public consumption, this has now become just one more fad, with everybody jumping on the bandwagon.
as far as my opinion that you slammed me for having that its the least they can do....the fact that you claim to have a military family and the opinion you do shocks me....I too have many men and women in my family who have and do serve including my only brother....and I see how he and his family suffer when he is away
And as far as it's their choice to serve...I have two things to say about
#1-if they don't choose to serve at wartime the draft would be put into place and those who can't or are against it they would be sent to war anyway
#2-firefighters and cops choose their jobs and they are still considered hero's...when did military become just another job choice instead of a huge sacrifice on behalf of our country that should be honored
I feel that what they go through they are entitled to some fun and silly sometimes...if we have to be bombarded withkardashian
meant to say if we have to be bombarded with kardashian drama, Jersey shore crap, and horrible news everyday of murders molestations and child abuse...the last thing I'm going to complain about is someone who has or soon will leave their family and put their life on the line in a warzone having a little fun with a celebrity on youtube
I for one think it's great for the celebrity and the vet...it shows the vet how much respect the world has for what they do and it makes the celebrity seem more accessible and less God like...
I was unaware tebow was shredded by the press for being religious....I heard that he was but what I heard was good and talked about his good values and good outlook on life due to his religion
