The Boston Bruins won the coveted Stanley Cup for the first time in 38 years by shutting out the Vancouver Canucks with a score of 4-0 in Game 7. The Canucks scored nada, zippo, nuthin'. And while jubilant Boston fans are celebrating, some Canucks fans are going a little nuts.
Following the game, riots broke out on the Canadian city's streets, complete with garbage being tossed, baseball bats swinging, and cars tipped over and set ablaze. Canucks fans threw beer bottles at giant outdoor television screens as soon as the final buzzer sounded. Riot police were called in to restore order.
This isn't the first time these fans went wild after losing. In 1994, a similar riot took place following the Canucks loss to the New York Rangers. Apparently, this is a city that doesn't handle losing very well.
Take a look at this video to see the damage done tonight:
That's some crazy, eh? There are going to be a lot of not-so-happy car owners tomorrow morning -- and perhaps a hangover or two.
What do you think of the way the Vancouver fans acted after their team's loss to the Bruins?
