Uh oh, it's another sex scandal for Brett Favre. Seems our boy Brett not only liked to send unwanted pics of his penis to Jenn Sterger, allegedly, but according to Christina Scavo and Shannon O'Toole, he also had time to sexually harass them back in 2008 when they worked as massage therapists at a New York Jets training camp.
Today, the women filed a sexual harassment suit against Favre. Again with the texting, the suit says Favre allegedly tried to solicit a three-way between him, Scavo, and another unnamed therapist and sent another text that stated, "Kinda lonely tonight, I guess I have bad intentions."
Scavo's husband reportedly (and understandably) got pissed about Favre's advances toward his wife and demanded an apology. The suit says Favre "refused" and "responded in an inappropriate manner."
The women say they were fired from their jobs after complaining, and that the team has refused to hire them again since. They claim the team was a "a hot bed of sexual harassment, sexism, and inappropriate behavior."
The suit also named Lisa Ripi, who hires massage therapists for the New York Jets. She reportedly wrote to them, "For sure feel horrible that u had to go thru that [with] a pervert...however I truly wish you would've come forward at the time it happened."
And some will find it peculiar that the women are just now coming forward publicly when the incident happened in 2008. People are sure to question if it's for publicity in the wake of the Jenn Sterger incident or if they're just out for money, but really it doesn't matter why they're filing suit. If he did it, and if they lost their jobs over it, then he and the team should pay the price. And would someone please take away that guy's phone?!
Brett just announced his retirement from the NFL on Sunday -- not such a hot way to make an exit and leave a legacy. We can only wonder how many other tawdry texts are out there that may be forthcoming as well.
