Even though it's the off-season for the NFL, you can always count on the players to stir up some serious drama any day of the year. The most recent player in the spotlight? Quarterback for the Oakland Raiders, Jason Campbell, who apparently left his bride jilted at the altar. And ... it gets worse.

This past weekend, the two were supposed to get married, and 162 of their guests flew down to the Dominican Republic to celebrate their nuptials. But Jason and his fiance Yenicia “Jenny” Montes called off the wedding at the very last minute. So last minute, the guests received the news that the wedding was cancelled after they had arrived, only hours before the ceremony, and were never informed why!

Jeremy Lin's Off-the-Court Behavior Is the Real News

Posted by Jeanne Sager

Jeremy LinIt looks like Jeremy Lin has gone and done it. I've tried to keep myself from getting caught up in the "Linsanity." Really, I did. I wanted to say I came to like a guy on his own merits, not because the New York Knicks point guard was being blown up on the sports pages.

And now, I have. But it's his behavior off the court that's earned Lin my faithful following. It turns out this young player is one class act.

Brady Quinn Doesn't Owe Tim Tebow an Apology

Posted by Jacqueline Burt
on Feb 22, 2012 at 10:50 AM

brady quinnWe all say things we regret later, and obviously Brady Quinn is having second thoughts regarding the less-than-flattering comments he made about Tim Tebow during an interview for GQ. Well, sure -- remarks that seem casual and non-threatening in the context of a conversation carry a lot more weight when they're printed in black and white ("The Year of Magical Stinking: An Oral History of Tebow Time" just hit newsstands on Tuesday). But did Quinn really need to apologize for his words? I don't think so.

Granted, I can see how things could get a little awkward if Quinn didn't try to take back what he said, considering he and Tebow are teammates on the Denver Broncos

But it's not like Quinn slammed Tebow for the sake of slamming him. He didn't even slam him, really. Quinn basically just said what everybody else was thinking out loud.

Even Beyonce & Jay-Z Aren't Immune to 'Linsanity' (PHOTO)

beyonce and jay-zBeyonce and Jay-Z Are Going Linsane! For those of you who dared to doubt the power of Linsanity, how's this for proof? Even Beyonce and Jay-Z were blown away by Knicks phenom Jeremy Lin at last night's Knicks/Nets game ... and Jay-Z is part-owner of the Nets! Not that Jay-Z had any reason to feel threatened, apparently, since the Nets ended up winning the game.

But still.

If this kind of thing keeps up, somebody's going to have to go ahead and classify Linsanity as an infectious disease.

And the worst part is, there's just no telling which celeb basketball team owner will catch Linsanity next ...

Evelyn Lozada & Jennifer Williams' 'Basketball Wives' Fight Is an Instant Reality TV Classic (VIDEO)

Evelyn LozadaIf you missed the premiere of the fourth season of Basketball Wives on VH1 on Monday night, and you're a Housewives or reality TV fan in general, perhaps you oughta tune in next week. The premiere featured a fight that makes for reality TV gold.

Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada, who've reportedly been friends for the past 14 years, got into an argument in what turned out to be the highlight of the episode. They almost came to blows and couldn't drop enough f-bombs at each other. The reason for the fight? A blog post that Jennifer's publicist supposedly wrote. Evelyn felt judged when Jennifer "wrote" about her relationship with Chad Ochocinco while Jennifer thought Evelyn was overreacting to the whole thing. You'll have to see it to believe it.

ESPN’s Racist Jeremy Lin Headline Was Mind-Blowingly Ignorant

Jeremy Lin, the Asian American, Harvard graduate, upcoming star point guard for the New York Knicks, faced his first loss on Friday to the lowly New Orleans Hornets after enjoying a seven-game winning streak. We've had to deal with the insanity of "Linsanity" while he was winning, but what was most interesting to see was how the media dealt with him when he lost. Needless to say, racism reared its ugly head in some of the coverage.

One of the biggest culprits was one of the biggest names in sports media: ESPN. Since Lin is defying all sorts of stereotypes, these kinds of comments about him are, unfortunately, expected -- but when it does happen, it's still very shocking and sad, especially when it comes from such well-respected sports media. Two ESPN employees were punished for their comments that had racial undertones, and it was the least ESPN could do. Here's what happened:

Danica Patrick Never Wants to Be Called This Word Again

Danica PatrickNot sexy ... right?Danica Patrick, a NASCAR racer and model, was swarmed by the media yesterday during NASCAR's media day. But instead of her comments about important racing stuff, like how she's making her Sprint Cup debut in the Daytona 500, the biggest thing to come out of her interviews was the fact that she'd prefer being called "pretty" over "sexy." In fact, she pretty much doesn't want to be called anything with the word "sex" in it.

I can't help but feel like this is kind of a strange thing for Danica to be complaining about. I mean, have you seen those Go Daddy commercials? (You can after the jump.) Most of her Google Image results feature her half-clothed, bending over sexily (oops, can't use that word anymore) a car. If that's the kind of image she wants to put out there -- not like any of us can blame her, being blessed with those looks -- she oughta not bite the hand that feeds her.

Kate Upton's Diss on 'Ellen' Makes Us Feel for Mark Sanchez (VIDEO)

Posted by Jeanne Sager

Mark SanchezI'm really starting to feel bad for Mark Sanchez. Here he is, quarterback of a major market NFL team, and all anyone wants to talk about is who he's dating. And with the way Sports Illustrated swimsuit cover girl Kate Upton was talking on Ellen this week, no one wants to actually ADMIT they're hooking up with the New York Jets hottie.

Ellen definitely got her grill on when Upton landed in the hot seat. In a short clip from the show, talk about Sanchez got just as much airtime as the actual cover shoot. To her credit, the young model dodges the uber personal questions pretty well ... and I'm starting to understand why she won't just 'fess up.

I have no idea who I am anymore. On Valentine's Day I wanted to watch basketball. Not just any team ... I wanted to watch Lin's team. Jeremy Lin. What is it about this guy? I actually enjoy watching him play.

Holy crap ... I see what's happened here. I have been lin-fected. And apparently so has a nation, because this is no longer just a New York story. In fact, half of New York can't even watch him play — thanks to a Time Warner cable dispute.

So what is it about this guy? Why does everyone care? Sports Illustrated had him on the cover last week, #Linsanity trends on Twitter every single time he plays, and my Facebook feed explodes with commentary daily about this guy.

Oh ... this is so much bigger than just rooting for the home team.

In case you haven't heard, Jeremy Lin, the Harvard graduate, undrafted, pretty much unknown until a week ago point guard who's now taking the world by storm, helped the New York Knicks win their seventh straight game last night. We really haven't seen a media obsession quite like this since the NFL season and Tim Tebow. No one can get enough of this guy!

But you know what makes Lin a lot more fun to write and read about than Tebow? All of the ridiculous and crazy and terrible puns you can make with a last name like "Lin." It's pretty awesome waking up in NYC in the morning after a Knicks win to see what the papers and Internet can come up with. Some are good, some are bad, and some are plain hilarious.

Let's hope that Lin keeps on "Linning." Here are 20 of the best headlines with Lin puns so far that we've rounded up:
