When you've got a full-blown raging case of baby fever or practically cry with ecstasy when you tuck your newborn into her crib, it's hard to believe that there aren't women out there who don't long for the same thing. But just like there are cat people and dog people; city people and country people; rap people and disco (?) people -- there are I-want-a-baby and I-don't-want-a-baby people. There can be lots of reasons women don't want children. Some do, but feel it wouldn't be responsible given their life situation (lack of funds, lack of family support, lack of partner). Some just plain don't -- even if they've got all of that. But if a woman tells you she doesn't want children, and you want to be remain friends with that person, or at least not get a dirty look, or at least not be a wee bit of a jerk, you'll want to avoid saying these 11 things.

Whoa! It took a while for us to get a really good glimpse of it up until this point, but now there's no disguising Halle Berry's growing baby bump. We were all shocked when the announcement came that she is expecting baby number two at the ripe old age of 46, and we couldn't wait to watch her pregnancy progress and become more obvious.

And now that she only has a few months to go, Halle has officially "popped," which is probably why she has no problem stepping out in more snug-fitting outfits, like this little black dress she wore while out running errands earlier this week.

For some pregnant women, hearing the words bed rest is like hearing the always correct fortune teller saying you are going to have a painless, all-natural birth that will be over in 10 minutes. Perfect! It's like being "forced" to relax, feet up, massages, and grapes being fed to you by your shirtless husband who has just spent the last two hours scrubbing the bathroom so you can take the best bath ever. For others, bed rest is the most awful sentence. Stay in bed? Impossible! But many of us do it for the health and safety of our pregnancy. It's prescribed to us by our doctors.

What if I told you that some new research is saying it doesn't prevent premature birth like we all thought it did. What if it makes that risk even worse?

Erica Nigrelli was dead when she delivered her daughter. The 32-year-old English teacher was 36 weeks pregnant when she collapsed while teaching at a Houston area school.

Coworkers tried to help with CPR and a defibrillator, but according to Click 2 Houston, after being rushed to the hospital, her heart had completely stopped as doctors delivered her baby via C-section.

Her birth story could have sadly ended there with baby Elayna never meeting the woman who had carried her for all those months, with her having to grow up without her mother. But it didn't. Instead, something amazing happened.

It's easy to hate people when they send you over-the-top invitations for things like weddings, baby showers, bridal showers, and the like. Instead of thinking, Oh this is beautiful! my gut reaction is generally, OK, this is over-the-top and probably costs more money than my monthly rent for the lot of 'em. Which is why my gut reaction is to hate Kim Kardashian AND Kim Kardashian's baby shower invitations. OK, so maybe Kris Jenner is more to blame, because she's hosting the whole shebang along with sisters Kourtney, Khloe, and manager Shelli Azoff.

Kim's baby shower invitation is a legitimate music box that features a spinning ballerina dancing to a lullaby version of baby-daddy Kanye West's hit song "Hey Mama." For the record, the lullaby is totally adorbs.

Um, hello -- a music box? A ballerina? I know we have no 100 percent confirmed gender on this Kimye spawn but HELLO -- this shower pretty much screams that it's TOTALLY a girl!

According to sources who talked to Grazia, "Kate has researched various birthing methods. She wants it to be natural, so hypnobirthing is one option that appealed and she has been reading up on it and listening to CDs to get into the right frame of mind. Some of her friends have used this method and swear by it. Kate wants to do it her way and to be relaxed."

Wow. Hypnobirthing, huh? What exactly is hypnobirthing?

That's right, wasted. A new study says that bed rest may not only not help prevent complications like premature birth and miscarriage, but it actually could be potentially harmful.

Say what? For years -- centuries even -- doctors have prescribed bed rest. According to estimates, one in five women is told to limit activity at some point in her pregnancy. Women have given up jobs, had to scramble to find care for older children, and otherwise turned their lives upside down to adhere to the prescribed bed rest. Now we learn it may have all been for naught.
