We're joining Taryn (aka MarineWifeyy), a 17-year-old  high school student, on her exciting journey from bump-to-baby and the extra challenges she faces as a pregnant teen. Check back every week for the latest developments.

Week 6
My name is Taryn. I'm 17 and I live in Texas. My fiance is 20, and he's a Lance Corporal in the USMC. We have been together for almost 2 1/2 now, and my parents both approve of our engagement because we plan to wait to get married until I'm out of high school.

This is not our first pregnancy, I got pregnant when I was 15 and it resulted in a miscarriage at three months. I just found out about my current pregnancy a couple of weeks ago and I'm at about six weeks.

Right now I'm not having as many symptoms as my first pregnancy, but I know that might change as I get further along. The only symptoms I have right now are very sore breasts, extreme fatigue, and a little cramping/twinging on my right side. I'm trying to get my first prenatal visit scheduled, but I'm having trouble finding a clinic that meets all my needs, but don't worry, I already bought my vitamins and have been eating healthy.

Unfortunately I have not told my dad yet, I'm not too sure how to do it, but my sister as well as my baby's daddy's family know and they're very supportive. We were not trying to get pregnant, it just happened, and from that we took this pregnancy as fate. When I found out I was happy because since I had a miscarriage I always felt like a part of me was missing. I'm really looking foward to sharing my journey with other girls and I hope that it might even help some, and I thank CafeMom for letting me be a part of this experience!

What's Happening with Baby:

Baby doesn't look like much more than a tiny blob, but he/she is definitely busy developing! The head is beginning to form, as well as indentations that will later be the eyes, nose, and mouth.

Question of the Week from Answers:

What are the earliest symptoms anyone's ever experience being pregnant? Like right after conception or after you peed on the stick (besides missed period)? — anonymous

DragonRiderMD: With my first, about a week after conception, it was extreme fatigue and food aversion (I got hungry, but when I took a bite I would lose my appetite, not sick or anything, just kinda like the feeling you get when you're full and you can't possibly force yourself to choke down another bite). With this one, also about a week after conception, again with the extreme fatigue, but also accompanied by pretty severe insomnia (talk about weird and annoying), along with some mild nausea (which got worse as the weeks went by) and sore boobs.

** We're celebrating MarineWifeyy's pregnancy, so thanks for keeping your judgments to yourself. Bashing will not be tolerated**
