A nice name for boys of nature-loving moms, Ranger is of French origin and means "ward of the forest." Baby-naming experts Pamela Redmond Satran and Linda Rosenkrantz of the baby name site nameberry predicted that Ranger (and other occupational names) would be really big in 2009.
I do know a little boy named Ranger and thinks it's a nice solid name. Seven CafeMom members have sons named Ranger.
What do you think of the name?

Not really my thing, but it's not bad.
dont like it
The dog my mom had when I was born was named Ranger, so I could never use it! Its not bad, but definitely not my thing!
I like it, if I were to ever have a son he would have an occupational name too. Mason is my grandfathers name so I would love to use it.
I don't like any of the boys names at all!
if I had to choose a girl name out of these it would be Caroline!
I guess if I was only given the choice out of the boys on this
it would have to be Ranger but I dont like it one little bit!
