Designed from the Chinese Mei Tai baby carrier, Baby Hawk is one continuous piece of fabric crafted to securely hold your baby close to you.
You can wear the carrier on your hip, or front or back, and you can also choose from many designs. Good for newborns and kids up to 40 pounds...that is, if you can carry them that long. (Can you? Seems like it would kill my back!)
I even saw one mom on the website wearing two -- with one baby in the front, one in the back. Strong mama!
As much as I would like to, I don't think I can do that with my twins. One goes with hubs, the other goes with me.
What's coolest about Baby Hawk is that you can choose from one of the many in stock designs or make one yourself by picking out a design from their vast fabric collection -- you can even have them custom make one. They have a "Black Calaveras" design -- Dia de los Muertos skulls -- that I love! Plus they are reversible so you can have two different designs on each side -- or a design and a solid color so it doesn't clash with a print you may be wearing. Prices start at $80.
I have one and while my babies aren't born yet, I did try it on over my twin bump and it's really comfortable. My husband tried on the Baby Hawk with a doll in it and he liked it, too. The fabric is soft, but strong -- and even though at first glance the straps, and how to tie them, may seem daunting, it's not. I promise. I did it my first try. And if I can do it, you can, too.
What do you think of the Baby Hawk Mei Tai carrier?

It really just depends on how it worked out for my family. I have never tried it on, so I couldn't say.
I wanted to add that while you may say no way to the double carrying duty now... be open to reconsider. If you are at home without DH, looking for some snuggle time with your little lovies but have a mountain of new born wash to do, carrying both might come in handy!
Too expensive.
I ADORE my Moby, but it's a pain for going out. I have to put it on before I leave the house. I've looked at these and ones like them.
well, although the price is almost as much as a bjorn i'm starting to like this carrier seems very easy to put on and just go! now if we can only find them in a store, i don't think hubby will go on and buy it just like that, maybe if i beg too much i'll get it lol =-)
Ohhh, I want a Baby Hawk SO BAD.
Totally worth the money! I have one. I still sometimes carry my 2.5 year old around in it. LOL! Mostly for fun. When he was a year old I used it for an entire week in Disneyland. LOVE IT!!!!!!
me and my husband are planning our 3rd and ive tried a lot of baby carriers and this looks like one that would be a better fit.. i had problems with the snugli and bjorn and maybe when the 3rd baby comes ill try this out.. looks like a good product!
I had one for my daughter, but it was after she started crawling and decided she was Miss Independent, so we barely used it, but even still totally worth the money!! I sold after a while (wasn't my favorite pattern anyway) but I'll be buying another one once this baby comes, I can't wait!
I dont have a babyhawk but i love mei tai's, i make my own. If you can afford i would say go for it!
HOW I WISH I COULD AFFFORD ONE!!!! I have always wanted one, but could never afford it!
