I love taking baby belly shots -- and my husband and I have a ton of them, we even have a Mommy Measure and mark off the growth of my twin belly. I haven't given that much thought to a belly cast...until I saw these!
CafeMom PaintdBabyBumps casts and paints some very beautiful keepsakes. The only problem is that this mama of two lives in Orlando and that's too far from me. But how inspiring! She started her own business after casting her own baby bumps! You can check out her website, Pregnancy Belly Casting Service, here.
Have you made a belly cast? Is this something you are interested in doing?

wow those are fabulous!
The only belly casts I've seen have been rather plain and I've always thought that I couldn't justify putting a seemingly naked torso of me up in the house somewhere. But I think that these are more like art and very beautiful. If I was going to belly cast I would get my sister to work her magic on it.
However....I doubt I could ever find an appropriate place to put it. Baby's room? Will they want it in there when they get older? Would I want it in my room? The office? Living room?? So...I doubt I would get one..
We're definitely doing one this pregnancy and decorating it. It think we're going to hang it in our bedroom.
♥ I have done one for all 6 babies...5 Pregnancies. I have them all stacked inside each other in my bedroom. Of course my Twin Belly Cast is huge! What's your Fundal Height? Mine was 55cm! That means I measured at 55 weeks pregnant! But it was worth every centimeter! Still not sure where they will end up! ♥
Those are the first ones I've seen that I really enjoyed. Especially the tree, as the Celtic Tree of Life has so much meaning with life, birth, children... good job.
I only did one with my first pregnancy. It is unpainted... Because it's so special, I haven't decided how I want to decorate it (ah, the pressure!! lol!). So it sits in my living room...
I love it, though!!
Tables, chimney sets, clocks, chandeliers, statuettes, and much more.
