Some of us swaddle our newborns -- no blankets in the crib. But what if there was a blanket that snapped baby in and kept her securely on her back?
Currently only available online at SnapCozy.com, this blanket --the Snap Cozy ($59.99) -- can be used for preemies and babies up to 1 year old, and can even with sleep positioners if you will be using one of those.
It's made by a stay at home mom, along with some help from her mother-in-law, and it's approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Said to be great for when baby naps or sleeps in the crib, this blanket encourages baby to stay on back by snapping baby in. It secures to side of crib by ties. And of course, it keeps baby warm.
Even if baby is active, the makers of Snap Cozy say that there is a safety seam at the foot of the sleep sack that prevents blanket from going over baby's head.

Yeah... no thanks. Just use warm, footed jammies.
I was never worried about mine staying on his back, but now it might be helpful just so he stays warm, he is constantly kicking the blankets off, lol. But I think I'll pass, the price tag is a little high, I'll figure something else out! LOL
I'm with RanaAurora on this one...My son wouldn't keep a blanket on him and no matter how tightly he was swaddled, he would always squiggle out of it. So we put him in footie jammies and he'd sleep really well. If we tried to put a blanket on him for the longest time he'd wake up just to kick it off and then go back to sleep.
I just don't like it- seems a bit restrictive- I'll stick with a sleep sack or footie pjs.
I had just made something like this for my DD! Drats!
I like it, but I wouldn't spend that much.
yeah no... I like jammies with footies and sleep sacks.
uh, no thanks. i'm a big swaddler... we swaddled my son until he was 6months old. at seven months, we felt comfortable using a small blanket in his crib. (he was also rolling, sitting, and crawling by then). not to mention, nothing ruins a cute nursery than some ugly snap up blanket
For 60 bucks, that blanket better change diapers too! No thanks, I'll stick to the footie pj's.
No it is too high.
