Some of us swaddle our newborns -- no blankets in the crib. But what if there was a blanket that snapped baby in and kept her securely on her back?

Currently only available online at, this blanket --the Snap Cozy ($59.99) -- can be used for preemies and babies up to 1 year old, and can even with sleep positioners if you will be using one of those.

It's made by a stay at home mom, along with some help from her mother-in-law, and it's approved by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Said to be great for when baby naps or sleeps in the crib, this blanket encourages baby to stay on back by snapping baby in. It secures to side of crib by ties. And of course, it keeps baby warm.

Even if baby is active, the makers of Snap Cozy say that there is a safety seam at the foot of the sleep sack that prevents blanket from going over baby's head.
