It's a stroller blanket or a car seat blanket, you know, the blanket that keeps baby warm but is able to strap baby in place. It looks like a sleeping bag.
My sister and I were talking and she said I should get two of these for my twins due in December.
I love the sage color of this JJ Cole Infant Original BundleMe ($39.99) from Buy Buy Baby, plus it's fleece -- looks really cozy.
This can be used instead of jackets or blankets and may be especially good for newborns -- less fuss to get baby in and out of sleeves and zipped up.
What do you think? Is it registry worthy?

OK, so I had registered for one of these (we're having a January baby), and then I started reading about how you're not supposed to put anything between the baby and the seat, so it freaked me out and I took it off our registry. Am I crazy? This seemed so perfect to keep baby warm. I did find something that fits over the seat like a shower cap that will keep him warm. Anyway - someone feel free to tell me that the Bundle Me is perfectly safe and I'm just being an overly-concerned first time mom!
Great question Katie! I really want to know what experienced moms have to say. I thought it was safe because the straps to the car seat and the stroller go inside the bundle bag. So your baby is strapped in, directly to his or her body, not around the bundle bag. The bag fits around baby and straps.
If you live somewhere where it gets cold, I'd get one. I had one that was like the "shower cap" type, it had a zipper to get the baby out and there was a velcro thing that you could cover the baby's head or keep the head covered. Anyway, the thing went on the baby carrier like with an elastic bottom, if this makes any sense at all. Anyway, I really liked it, because the baby stayed a lot more warm with it on.
i don't drive much, but I use it in the stroller in the winter. It's so much easier to put the baby in one of these than to put them in a snowsuit (and then have to take it off them when you get inside.)
We have one and love it. For cold winters they made a big difference. All I had to do was throw on a hat and zip them in. I'm planning on using it for my next little one who is due in Dec.
LOVE it!!!!!! I just bought one for my 5 month old daughter. It keeps her super warm. Much easier than trying to get a baby in a little tiny coat! I would totally recommend it.
They were good while the baby is new born but as soon as they grow a little the Bundle Mes are too small
I didn't have one because it's not really that cold here and my DD was born in April so we were starting to get warm. My sister who lives in CT on the other hand had a baby last January and she has that exact one. She loved it and said it was the greatest thing she never thought to get (another mom got it for her as a baby shower gift).
Well, you already discussed how any that go behind the baby and around the straps in the carseat are unsafe and should not be used, so you saved me a good amount of ranting. ;)
As for using it with a stroller, I'm still considering getting one for walking my baby to and from my son's school, though she's in the Moby wrap so often I might just have to get the wrap for the baby in a sling instead.
RanaAurora, I think you may have misread some of the comments...your ranting seems much deserved here! Some of the mom's have said they have the elastic ones that just go around the outside of the carseat, but the majority are saying that the ones that go between the baby and the carseat are safe.
THEY ARE NOT SAFE! There should never be anything besides light clothing between your baby and the back of the carseat. It doesn't matter if they are still strapped in. They have other versions that attach to the top of the car seat by elastic that will still keep the baby warm without compromising their safety. Try the Kiddopotamus CozyUp carrier cover.
