Like a lot of moms I made my own baby food. It saved a lot of money, my daughter ate fresh, healthy foods, and it really didn't take much time at all.  Are you thinking about making your own baby food? Today's featured item might help.

Item: Beaba Babycook

Cost: $150

What it does: This small kitchen appliance is a steamer, blender, warmer and defroster all in one. You can use it to make your own fresh, healthy baby food—veggies, fruits, and meat.

Pros: It makes making your own baby food fast and easy—even if you're not a great cook. It preserves food's vitamins and flavor. You'll have less of a mess to clean up than if you had to use a steamer, pot, and blender. It's BPA- and PVC-free.

Cons: It's expensive and a mini food processor for pureeing and an adult-size steamer can do the trick just as well.
