When I was younger I remember getting a lot of charley horses and I'd yell in pain from the tension in my calf. I hadn't had them in a long time. But about two weeks ago, I stretched my legs out before getting out of bed and it struck! Leg cramp city. Owwie!!
Turns out, this happens a lot to pregnant women.

Lil Sugar has a lil tip on how to ease the pain of a charley horse.
When the paralyzing charley horse strikes, point your toes up toward the knee, stretching your calf. If it hurts too much for that, try massaging your calf in a circular motion. Or better yet, ask your partner to do it for you.
It's also recommended to stay hydrated during your pregnancy -- dehydration can also be a culprit in those pesky charley horses.
