I'm in my second trimester with twins and something weird keeps happening -- I'm hearing my heartbeat in my ears. It happens most when I climb the three flights of stairs to my apartment or when I am eating.
It doesn't hurt and doesn't last that long, but it's strange. So I asked my doctor about it.
Thankfully it's nothing to worry about. She told me that when pregnant, a woman's blood volume increases, sometimes up to 50 percent. It also makes the heart rate increase a bit, too.
Do you ever hear your own heartbeat in your ears?
