Time for Take It or Leave It Tuesday. Up this week, a portable place for baby to sleep. I used one of these with both of my babies and loved it. Are you putting one on your registry?
Item: Badger Basket Natural Moses Basket
Cost: $50
What it does: It's a safe space for a new baby to sleep, anywhere in the house.
Pros: It's lightweight and easily portable.
Cons: It's fairly expensive and has a short life span. You can only use it until baby weighs about 15 pounds or can push up or roll over unassisted.
Let's hear what you have to say.

LEAVE IT!
1) Just one more thing to lug around (because you don't have enough luggage with a baby!).
2) A baby can sleep in an infant carrier just as well (and to a higher weight limit) anywhere you go OR in the house. An infant can also sleep in a swing at home.
3) 50 bucks? Are you kidding me??
I've seen this for over $100!!!
how about we start putting babies in laundry baskets! HAHA j/k
Lol, Codysmama2609...Once when my mom was watching my daughter as a new born for about an hour or so she unexpectesly fell asleep (she had just woken up from a nap and I really didn't think she'd be ready to go to sleep again, lol). My mom didn't have anything ready for her to sleep in so she did just that. After that day, she did finish setting up her crib but hey...If you need a quick fix, lol.
And as far as getting one goes....I don't think I will. I wouldn't want her to lay on the floor in it but I also would feel hesitant to put it up on anything with her in it.
I remember when my son was born (years ago)reading that they're not considered safe, baby shouldn't sleep in it, nor should baby be carried in it. In that case, it's pointless and I don't want it.
Someone gave me one with my first child. Three kids later, and I never used it. It was just so much easier to lay them in the baby swing, or in the bassinette or crib with the monitor on so I could hear them, or to keep them in the sling rather than placing them in a basket. It looks cute, but its' definitely not fifty bucks worth of cute!
I have one that comes with a rocking stand and everything. I love it.
Oh I was just thinking....I'd gladly take a good used one off someone's hands. I have a few decorating ideas I could use it for!
They are so cute, I thought I would use it all the time and there is even one made in the theme I did DD room in by Wendy Bellisimo (the Starlight one)
I used it ONE time! Total waste of money, well not exactly it is now a toy chest for her downstairs toys!
I find this less useless than a crib :) Too bad the weight limits aren't higher.. it's cute, but not for 50 bucks hehe.
I loved mine. Going up and down the stairs in our house, I always had baby in his moses basket. I could keep him near me at all times. I was so sad when he started getting to heavy for it. I kept it for the next baby.
