When we were having our first baby, I was certain it was going to be a girl. We got a little guy with a penis. I got over it.
Then when we were having baby number two, I assumed we'd be giving Jasper a little brother. Wrong again. My track record for guessing isn't the greatest, but it's always fun to try!
According to some of the old wives' tales (and Parenting.com), here are some fun, totally unfounded ways to guess the gender.
Check out how you're carrying
If you're carrying high, it's a girl; if you're carrying low, it's a boy.
Notice baby's heart rate
When your doctor is checking at your next prenatal visit, take note. If your baby's heart rate is 140+ beats per minute, legend says it's a girl. If it's lower than 140, you've got a boy on the way.
It's all in the cravings
Want ice cream every day? It's a girl. Craving salty or sour? That means it's a boy.
See how the ring swings
Tie your wedding ring on a string and let it swing over the belly. If it swings in a circle, you're having a boy. If it swings back and forth, it's a girl.

I have to say, the ice cream thing was true for me!
What about you? Did any of these old wives' tales prove true for you?
