We didn't play games at either of my baby showers, but I don't really know why -- I love games! And at showers I've hosted for friends, I definitely bring on the games (and prizes) for guests.

If you're looking for some inspiration (beyond taste the baby food and the poopy diaper game), here are some ideas for festive baby shower games from Parents.com. They include game instructions and prize suggestions.

Here are a few highlights.

Baby Shower BINGO -- A baby and bridal shower classic! Get the downloadable BINGO template on the site.

Name That Baby Tune -- Come up with a playlist of songs with the word "baby" (or use the playlist at the end of the baby shower games slideshow) and let guests guess the tune. Burn the songs onto CDs to give as party favors.

Baby Stroller Olympics -- Good for an outdoor shower -- the pregnant mama will sit this one out. Set up an obstacle course and have guests run it with a baby doll in the stroller. The guest is disqualified if the baby falls out of the stroller, and the mom with the fastest course-running time wins.

Who's That Baby? -- Have guests bring baby pictures of themselves and let everyone guess who's who. A good icebreaker for a group of guests who may not know each other well.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm throwing a baby shower for a friend on April 18th and these are some great ideas.

I still like the one my son had the boys play at his co-ed shower.  They had to eat chocolate pudding and milk duds out of a diaper with their hands behind their backs.  The first one to finish won!  I have great pictures of it!

You can also tell each person on the invites that if they bring diapers (depending on if the Mom is using cloth or not) they will be entered to win a gift basket.  You can even pick a different size per so many guests.  Ask five of them to bring newborn and then five to bring size one so the Mom doesn't get stuck with a bunch of newborn diapers.  But you can make a small gift basket with coffee mugs and coffee or a movie with candy and popcorn.

You can also just for fun set a timer while the Momma is opening gifts and when it goes off if she is opening the gift you brought you win a prize.

Fun ideas, Peajewel -- thanks! :)

Other great ideas and fun for co-ed showers it create an Emergency Go To Guide. Everyone at the shower gets a set of index cards. At the top of each card is a question. Like It's 2am and your baby just filled their diaper and you just realized it was the last one. What do you do? The answers are usually hilarious (especially from the men) and when read aloud everyone gets a chuckle. All the cards are put into a book (picture album works best) and given to the expecting couple.

Another suggestion is go to a craft store and buy a pack of onsies and tshirt paint. Have everyone decorate a onsie.

I have thrown a few showers and I will be having one for myself real soon.  Games are awesome and it makes a few hours seem fun too.

I always do a door prize game where I have all the guests write there address on the envelope of the already done Thank you cards, randomly pick on and they win.

I also put a clothespin on the guests has they arrive and tell them they can't say baby-whomever has the most at the end wins!!

I also have this real neat poem with points in the poem that you will get just by having a curls or pearls on, at the end of the poem you ass up your points and whomever has the most wins.

I also do a baby magazine logo game.  Find ads in magazines but I take out the brand name and whomever gets the most right wins.

I also put certain sayings on the invitations for guests to bring baby food, diapers or books instead of cards.  I get so many compliments on them.  the baby food one is my fav!!

There are so many games that you can find...
