She's Pregnant -- and I'm Jealous

I have a lot of friends and acquaintances who are pregnant at the moment. Actually, a couple of my very good friends are expecting. And while I'm completely happy and excited for them, in truth, I'm just a little jealous, too.

Seeing my friends go through this amazing experience right now makes me miss being pregnant.

An Anonymous mom in Answers posted that she recently miscarried and now her sister is pregnant and often rubbing her belly in front of her -- and she's jealous, too. Happy for her sister, of course, but still a tad jealous.

Have you ever been jealous of another woman's pregnancy, or felt that someone was jealous of yours?

I have 3....ages 4,3,and 1 and I still get jealous. I just love being pregnant though. I think I get jealous because I think we may be done so....it makes me sad that I may not get to experience that again. I am so sorry to the women who physically can't have any.

I am now expecting our second child and we are waiting to tell everyone because my so's brother and sister-in-law have been trying for 6 years and are now going through ivf. Also my so's best friends have been trying desperately for years and during my first pregnancy I could tell they had mixed feelings. While they were excited for us you could just sense the pain they were feeling. I am so excited about this pregnancy but I will be much more toned down then with the first. Not that I meant to rub it in I just couldn't hold back my excitement.

I really have to agree with Mamacatcat on this.I dont think pregnant women should have to tiptoe and be careful around women who cant get pregnant or had a miscarriage. A pregnant woman has every right to be happy and should not have to hide it like a dirty secret. It is sad some women can not have children but there are other ways to getting a child, like adoption. Yes some women will say "but adopting is so expensive " well so is having kids. I am happy for women who are pregnant, I suffered 2 miscarriages and not once did I think they should have to be careful around me. It was not their fault. It took me 5 years to have my second child and suffered 2 miscarriages in the process. Yes it was terrible but I figured that was natures way of telling me something was not right. Yes it was sad, yes iwas confused to why I could carry my first child so easily but have so much trouble having another, but never did I get jealous or blame another woman. I admit its ok to be frustrated but you shouldnt be so spiteful to someone else because they are pregnant and DONT assume because someone IS pregnant that they became pregnant so easily. Everyone has a right to be happy but being petty and jealous is not the way to be. I am finally pregnant after 5 years and 2 misscarriages and I dont want some infertile woman to look at me and be spiteful and assume It was so easy...it was not.
