Celeb parents Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have fiiiiinally announced the name of their new baby daughter: Seraphina Rose Elizabeth. I think I love it -- what about you?
The name is Hebrew and means "burning fire" -- you can get similar names and variations from the Baby Name Finder. You can also see CafeMom moms who named their babies Seraphina (there are a few, so Jen's in good company!).
For a completely different take on baby names, check out Cafe Suzanne's post on Cruel Baby Names (Hellcity? wow, that's harsh....)
And tell me, what do you think of the new Garner/Affleck name?

I like it - plus compared to some other "Hollywood" baby names this one is not ridiculously out there! lol
I was so excited when I saw this because I LOVE Jennifer Garner as a mom (she's my fave celebrity mom because she seems so down to earth and involved) and Seraphina was the #1 name on my list before I settled on Ella for my little one.
It kinda sounds familiar....(children's book character)? I do like it though. I agree w/PP totally!
Like a seraphina pot? no thanks.
I don't love it but I think it is the best celeb name I have heard ever! LOL
It's different but at least they didn't name the baby some weird crazy name or after a fruit or something lol. I like Jennifer Garner.
I think it's pretty, but I can't imagine calling a baby that...it's a big name! I wonder what they'llrefer to her as.
Isn't there a movie called that, with Whoopi in it? about Africa during the imprisonment of Nelson Mandela?
I agree that it's one of the best celeb names out there. If I wanted a hebrew name that one would probably make the list for me. Good job Jen & Ben!
My Italian Father in law's name was Serafino. The female version is Serafina. I have 2 grandsons with the middle name of Serafino. I am glad she was brave enough to use the female version of the name instead of making up a name no one can understand or know whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Good job!
