This week there was a big crib recall from Jardine -- did you hear about it? About 56,000 cribs, involving three different models, were recalled because of wooden slats that can break, causing a potentially dangerous gap (though no injuries have been reported so far).
It seems like there's so much recalled baby gear these days
it's hard to keep up with it all.
I just came across a Toy and Product Recall Finder from Parents.com that looks like an easy way to locate the latest unsafe products. It's a searchable database of the last three years of kids' toy and gear recalls -- you can see the most recent recalls, scan by category, or enter a product name, brand, or model number to see if there's been a problem with it.
Of course informed moms around here are a great source of info, too -- I saw a post
in The CafeMom Newcomers Club about the Jardine recall. And you can add the Toy Recalls Widget to your profile page to get updates on recent recalls.
How do you keep up with all of the recalls news as you put your nursery together?
