There's no accounting for taste when you're eating for two. For their new book, Pickles and Ice Cream, Vicky Jacob-Ebbinghaus and Juarez Rodrigues surveyed real women's bizarre cravings, whipped up the "recipes" -- and taste-tested them!

Here are a few of the good, so-so, and decidedly nasty delectations the couple sampled. Number 6 might require a trigger warning.

The chefs' verdict: "This is so delicious we actually took a pregnancy test just to make sure neither of us was pregnant. Even the one with a penis."

Hmmm ... Sounds great, but hold the pickles.

  • Bacon & Mars Bar Burger

The chefs' verdict: "It's pretty crazy, but the good kind. Not the one that runs after you in a mask with a chain saw."

You know what really makes it crazy? The parsley.

The chefs' verdict: "Kind of good in a bad way. Since chocolate and pizza are the two most addictive substances known to man, it's hard to stop eating. Be careful with this one."

Please don't tell us this includes anchovies.

  • 3. Salami & Condensed Milk

The chefs' verdict: "This dish is actually surprisingly tasty, but there just seems no place for it in the world. Too common for a restaurant. Too unhealthy to give to the kids. Too weird to eat alone. Too much shame at the bottom of a can of condensed milk."

But the dog would love it.

  • 4. Custard, Jelly, Peanut Butter, Banana & Cream Sandwich

The chefs' verdict: "The genius is it's actually a cake but you get to call it a sandwich, which totally makes it suitable for lunch, dinner, breakfast, in-between snacks ... now."

    You know, we just might.

  • 5. Toothpaste with Oreos

The chefs' verdict: "The only thing better than chocolate and mint together is having a cookie that brushes your teeth for you."

But as the chefs also point out, "There is a reason you always spit toothpaste out."

  • 6. Pickled Pig's Foot with Cornflakes & Milk

The chefs' verdict: "Gloopy, fatty, vinegary milk and a mutilated foot in a cereal bowl. This is a valid alternative to the death penalty."

    We. Can't. Even.
