Beautiful Image Captures the Agony & Ecstasy of Fertility Treatments (PHOTO)

A mother's heart knows no depth -- including future moms who will do everything in their power to have a child. A photo shared on the Sher Fertility Institute Facebook page of a baby surrounded by IVF-related treatments helps put into perspective the road to motherhood many experience that oftentimes can't be conveyed in words.

This is truly beautiful and extremely moving.

In case you're wondering, this beautiful little girl is the proud daughter of a woman named Angela who hoped her photo would inspire those struggling to conceive to keep the faith. As many vials and syringes (Angela's doctor mentions all weren't even photographed) surround this child, no injection or procedure can truly quantify the emotional toll Angela experienced to have her baby. After a year and a half of ups and downs, Angela was able to get pregnant and take home the child she yearned to have.

Wow, what a photo. Thank you to Sher Fertility St. Louis and Dr. Dayal patient Angela, who shows the true definition of love that went into making this gorgeous new baby girl.

I've heard personal stories of women undergoing IVF treatments to get pregnant, but this ... wow. This really drives home the message of the amount of dedication and lengths women will endure to have a child. I think it's easy for those who've never experienced something like this to read about it, but never really know what all IVF entails -- and we will never truly know, but we can at least hug our fellow life sisters a little tighter and pray everything works out in their favor.

As a mother, I feel my heart continue to overflow with joy (I have two kids under 2). Hopefully this photo serves as a source of encouragement for anyone who needs it (there's a wonderful dialogue in the comment section of this Facebook post).
