If You Wanna Have a Pile of Kids You Best Start Baby-Making Early

Time and time again women are given advice when it comes to starting a family. Most of us get unsolicited tips and pointers on everything from sexual positions to that "perfect age" to pop out a child. A new study claims to know the best age for women to have kids -- and the answer might surprise you.

According to researchers in the Netherlands, the opportune time for ladies to be with child is sooner than later. OK, so that's not really news or anything different from what we've heard, but at least this study can give us some sort of a breakdown without making us feel like we need to pop out a child during our freshman year of college in order to live long and prosper.

Published in the journal Human Reproduction, this study says age 32 is ideal for those who want to have one child. Should however you desire to fill up your car like one in the game of LIFE, you'll need to get the party started in your 20s. Women who want two children should try to conceive by age 27, while those who want to go for lucky number three are advised to try when they're 23 years old.

It's also worth a mention to point out that women who undergo IVF treatment have a little more leeway when it comes to starting a family -- considering the suggested ages increase by a few years.

Obviously these recommendations aren't foolproof, so don't put all of your eggs into one basket by thinking a certain year will automatically grant you a pregnancy. At least researchers who conducted this study are honest to point out how results will vary from woman to woman, though you might question why the heck they would even study something like this in the first place.

I was 29 when I had my first child last year and recently gave birth to my second a couple months ago. My husband and I have friends in their 40s who were able to have not one, but two children without needing any fertility treatments. Everyone's "ideal time" will never be the same as life deals each of us a different hand to play.

Sure it's easy to endorse a specific age to have kids, but who says that being fruitful at a particular time in your life makes it best to start a family? Some women want to advance in their careers while others want to create their happily ever after with Mr. Right sooner rather than later. In the end, you have to do what you think is best for you and your situation.
