OK, moms-to-be, time for Take It or Leave It Tuesday -- last week I asked you about bottle warmers (most moms said they'd pass). Today it's nursing pillows.
Let's see what you have to say.
Item: Boppy Nursing Pillow
Cost: About $30, $5 - $10 more with cover
What It Does: Props baby up, giving him a place to lounge while feeding
Pros: Helps mom juggle baby and equipment (bottle or boobs) during feeding time
Cons: One or two pillows at home could do the same thing for free; it's yet more specialized baby gear you have to make room for

I LOVE mine - I think it is a must have. However, I only used it until BF'ing was well established, then I could go without it. I've used it less and less with each kid (I have 3 now) but I still love it. It was awesome after my second when I had to have my gallbladder taken out - it helped him not lean on my incision.
Saved my life! Makes nursing so much easier on the arms. I travelled a few times without it and totally regretted it!
Normal pillows DO work, yes... but seriously, I LOVED my Boppy. I tried normal pillows, but the Boppy honestly was better. Sometimes I'd put a normal pillow UNDER the Boppy to get it up to chest level for hands-free nursing.
I've seen other nursing pillows I haven't tried, so I can't promise that the Boppy is the best one, but it was definitely worth it to me. And not only is it good for nursing, but you can lay an infant on it with their head elevated, put it around them for a little padding when they're learning to sit, etc.
I loved loved my bobby
I never used my boppy for nursing (it was too bulky for my preferences), but it was the best for helping the babies when they were learning to sit up.
i didn't have a boppy, but i got a pillow that was the same thing at Walmart for about $20. I LOVED it. i used it for BFing(i had to put another pillow under it to get it to chest height to) and when i wanted a few moments to have my arms free of baby, i put her snuggled up in it on a blanket on the floor. Thats wherre she usually napped for the first 4 months of her life. She loved sitting in it once she started learning to sit up. It was a lifesaver! Get one! Even if its not Boppy brand, you'll still love it!
That was my one must have this pregnancy.....I can live without bottles, a bassinette, swing, ect.....BUt have to have a boppy. Im nursing and it makes it SOOOOO much easier. And they are extremely versitile
Someone gave me mine and I never used it! I found it cumbersome. My DD ended up using it when she was older for different things, so it got used just not by me! LOL
mine was a life savor I used it all the time
Well, I'm coming up on my 22 month of breastfeeding, and I rarely used my boppy. I think I would've loved it if I weren't so tall, but I had to hunch over too much for it to work. One and a half boppies would've been cool, but I just used a regular pillow.
