ashley hebert jp rosenbaumThe Bachelorette family is growing! Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum are due to have a little baby boy in October, and the first-time parents are getting more and more excited each time we hear about them. The dad-to-be recently had his own 'dadchelor' party, and now J.P. and Ashley are narrowing down potential baby names.

Though he didn't reveal exactly what names the couple has in mind, he did dish about their strategy and name choosing process:

We have a couple names picked out. Ashley has her favorite and I've got my No. 1 but her vote counts more than mine. We've got the middle name. We're going to take the first initial of a deceased family member.

Seems like they have the game plan down at least. They have their final two names, are already set on the middle name, and are taking on the Jewish tradition (J.P. was raised in the Jewish faith) of naming a baby after a deceased relative.

Way to go guys!

Truth time: there are a bazillion baby names out there (that's just a rough estimate, really). Finding different requirements or specifics is a MUST if you want to stay sane. It can help to narrow the search, lessen your list, and generally just keep the peace in your coupledom.

And don't be afraid to take on different strategies. If you're having a tough time with the first name, maybe brainstorm the middle name first and work your way backward. There's no one way to do it.

Then find inspiration somewhere close to home. Maybe it's through traditions or family (like the Jewish naming style), but just think about how calm J.P. sounded listing all of that. You too can be as cool as a cucumber when the baby name questions start pouring in if you do this the smart way.

How did you go about finding the perfect name?

Thinking of following Jewish naming traditions like J.P. and Ashley? Baby Name Wizard can help you narrow your picks down to baby names of Jewish origin.
