Alyssa Milano's Easy Trick for Telling Her Baby Was a Girl -- Without an Ultrasound

alyssa milanoA mother's intuition is real, people! Raise your hand if you've ever had that "I just know" feeling about a situation. Though it gets particularly strong once your baby is born, your first instinct may kick in as soon as you're pregnant when you predict your baby's sex. That's exactly what happened to Alyssa Milano, who just knew she was having a girl.

In the August/September issue of Fit Pregnancy, the actress comes clean about just how strong her bond is with her soon-to-be baby. And when comparing this pregnancy to her previous one with son Milo, the differences were too obvious. So naturally, it must have been a girl:

I had morning sickness this time, but it went away right at 12 weeks. With Milo, I didn’t have a minute of morning sickness. So I knew it was going to be a girl.

Clearly, her form of telling if she's having a boy or girl was not based in science, but often by the time a mom gets to her doctor, he's just confirming something she already "knew."

If your previous baby was of the other sex and the current pregnancy is worlds different, it's only natural to attribute that to a boy vs. girl reason. Different symptoms, cravings, or even the shape of the bump might lead you to discover the truth.

Will that strategy work every single time? Probably not, but sometimes it doesn't take science or an ultrasound test (you hear that, Ashley and J.P.?) to tell you whether you're having a little dude or dudette.

Don't be afraid to trust that tiny gut instinct.

Did you instinctively know your baby's sex?

I knew my daughter was a girl before anything and this time around knew I was having a boy. I also seemed to have the gut instinct that my daughter would be late, and she was, but feel like this one will be early. Idk I am 36 weeks so we will see if I am four for four lol

I knew the sex of each child long before I had the ultrasound to tell me. But with my daughter I definitely had more morning sickness. I most 10lbs in the first trimester because of it. I carried smaller with her than I did with my son.

No! I was hoping I would, but I really had no clue. I had 2 as a surprise and we found out the sex with #3.

With my first I had absolutely no clue but I was huge and sick the whole time and she ended up being a girl. ,y second was a boy and I knew it from 6 weeks on when I wasn't sick at all and gained barely any weight. My third was just a the crazy intuition. It was totally different from both of my previous pregnancies but I knew the second I conceived I was pregnant and I knew the day the test said yes it was a girl. Now I have 3 amazing and beautiful babies and don't think I could possibly be happier...until number 4 comes that is :)

I predicted my kids gender correctly each time. I call it willing to happen. If you say it will be one or the other it will be. My cousin did this and it happened to her as well.

Of couse it could have been coincidence or just pure determination.

My pregnancies were completely polar opposites and they were both boys. I wanted to believe that I was getting my girl but I just knew that he was going to be another boy.

My first two pregnancies were complete opposite of each other. Bothboys.  My third complete opposite of the first two as well. It's a girl.

There have been 4 grandkids born into the family all 4 are girls so I was right. My bill is the last carrier of the last name he's the only namesake it all ends with him

When I had my children I didn't trust ultrasound because it had only been out for a few yrs. My oldest son is almost 30 so I never had an ultrasound, but I knew for sure he was a boy. I was sick for 5mons, and gained 40 lbs my son weighted 7lbs 12oz. My daughter is 27 I also didn't have an ultrasound, but my gut was a girl. I was not sick one day throughout my whole pregnancy, and only gained 15 lbs. She weighted 8lbs even. My third was another boy who is 24, no ultrasound just knew it by my gut. I was sick again for 5mos gained 30 lbs he weighted 8lbs13oz. Our last child daughter who is 22, also no ultrasound with her either just already knew it. Wasn't sick a day through that pregnancy only gained 9lbs and she weighted 9lbs 9 oz. I didn't have any ultrasounds by my choice. All I wanted since i was lil was a boy, girl, boy, girl so I always say I was very blessed.
