16 Things Adventurous Pregnant Ladies Have Done With Their Baby Bumps

baby coming soonWhen I look back on my pregnancy, one of the things I think I regret most is that I didn't have as much fun with it as I could. For first-time moms, these are their last kid-free months! Even for moms who are on baby number two (or later), this is the one and only time in your life when society smiles on a big belly. So why not show it off?

One of the cutest ways to do that is by baring the baby bump and then painting it! And if you're going to go through all the trouble, you might as well get a photographer to capture the belly decor, right? Perfect maternity photo shoot "prop"!

Not sure were you'd even begin? Check out these adorable options to paint your belly!

Would you consider #11? Which one is your favorite?

I would love to get some henna tattoo designs on mine.

With my first I wore an old orange shirt while cleaning one day and my hubby thought it needed a pumpkin face drawn on it with a sharpie!!!  I still have the shirt, but the pumpkin just doens' t look quite right when i wear it now!! LOL.  Some of these are cute but some are a little disturbing too.

It was always my goal during pregnancy to have a pretty henna design on the big moon belly. But when I was pregnant I looked into it. and it would be at least $100. Unfortunately on my skin (even when professionally done and very carefully taken care of) henna lasts at most 3 days. And I just couldn't see spending that much for what amounted to a photo shoot prop (since it wouldn't be there long enough to really show off). Maybe next time I'll do it in ink or paint of some sort.

Cute! I just want a shirt with a big button sewn on to where my bellybutton is. Then I want it to say "Press Button For Womb Service" LOL
I also saw this adorable top that said "Can you tell me if my shoes match?"
I just hope I can remember these when I get pregnant!

My girlfriend is a face painter.  She painted a cupcake on my belly when I was pregnant with my daughter.  She's done some amazing on pregnant bellies.  I wish I could shar the pics on here.

My mid-wife had a tradition of drawing pictures of babies on her patient's bellies.  She had been doing it for years.  My belly was the first one she had the fun of drawing two babies on.   It was fun.

Years ago I used to do work for a group of OB/GYN doctors.  One year one of the doctors was pregnant on Halloween so she cut a hole on a pair of her medical scrubs and painted her belly like a pumpkin as her costume and saw patients all day like that.  It was one of the cutest things I have ever seen.

How were those adventurous? There wasn't anything special about any of that.

Those were boring!! While my hubby was deployed my dad (who paints as a side job) painted my belly like a globe with a dotted line through it and the US on 1 side and Kuwait on the other *half Mommy half Daddy* Id post a pic but cant on here lol
