Attention pregnant women: Kristen Bell is officially declaring an end to the post-baby weight loss madness. She gave birth back in March -- and she's still working on losing the baby weight. Nine months to put on, nine months to take off. No crazy diets, binge workouts, or plastic surgery. And you know what? If that's not fast enough for you, you can kiss her muffin top. Because Kristen Bell says she has a "huge muffin top," and she doesn't care.
Kristen told E!
I'm definitely trying to lose [the baby weight] -- I want to be clear. But I'm not letting it keep me up at night and I am not letting it become the narrative of my life for the next year ...
It's like, by the way, don't you want to look like you've had a baby? I'm sitting here with you, I'm crunched over, I have a huge muffin top -- who cares?!
But if you must know, she does a little running on the treadmill, some Pilates with a trainer friend, and the occasional Soul Cycle class. She calls Soul Cycle her "worst nightmare," but admits it makes her fell like Superman. Meanwhile, she's still working the Spanx and some medical-grade compression garments under dresses for events.
Where does Kristen get her relaxed attitude from? Well ... it isn't something that comes naturally. Tuning out the weight-loss madness is something she's actively had to work on. I love how she puts this:
Look, I'm like any other woman. All this evolved b.s. that I'm telling you is my mantra: It's not something I practice naturally. I had to surrender to not worrying about the way I looked, how much I weighed, because that's just part of the journey of having a baby. I am not a woman whose self-worth comes from her dress size.
Wow -- her self-worth doesn't come from her dress size. How many of us could say the same, post-baby body or not?
How confident did you feel in your post-baby body before you lost all the baby weight?
