Did you know that Late Night host Jimmy Fallon, 38, and his wife Nancy Juvonen, 46, were expecting a baby? I don't think many did, but suddenly today we get news that they've welcomed a baby girl into the world.
According to Us Weekly, their daughter was born at 6:21 a.m. this morning, and Fallon and Juvonen are "overjoyed about the arrival of their beautiful daughter." It's the first child for the couple who married in December 2007. No baby name has been announced yet, so along with the Royal Baby's name, it's another one for which we're going to have to wait.
I just can't believe he didn't let this big news slip all this time. You'd think it might have come up, right? Of course with Juvonen's age, it very likely could have been a surrogacy pregnancy or an adoption, but regardless, the news is happy.
If they were looking to keep things low key they couldn't have asked for a better time to deliver than this week either as all eyes have been on the Royal Baby, and probably will be for some time. So their timing is great.
While the news is a bit startling because it's such a surprise, I'm sure they'll be great parents. Can you imagine how hysterical it would be to grow up with Jimmy Fallon as your father? I'm sure he's not "on" all the time, but he's so witty, I'm sure their home is filled with lots of laughter. And really I'm not sure there are many traits that are more needed when it comes to parenthood than humor. Some of it is so taxing, tiring, and tedious you simply have to be able to laugh along the way. So he's definitely well suited for the job in that way.
Congrats to the new parents!
Are you shocked that Jimmy Fallon is now a dad?
